The Role
Genmab is looking for a strategic and execution-focused leader to head Operations Strategic Planning (OSP) within Technical Operations. This is a critical leadership role responsible for establishing and driving an integrated, end-to-end planning capability across TechOps—enabling data-driven decision-making, proactive risk management, and scalable operations across a complex, externally driven manufacturing network.
In this newly established role, you will build and lead the Operations Strategic Planning capability. You will ensure alignment of portfolio, capacity, and network across all TechOps functions; CMC (ADC CoE, Product Development, Dev & Manufacturing), Supply Chain and QA/QC.
You will drive the design and implementation of an Integrated Business Planning (IBP) / Operations Strategic Planning framework, enabling clear trade-offs, scenario-based decision-making, and forward-looking planning across the organization.
You will report to the Head of TechOps Strategy and Business Effectiveness and work closely with TechOps LT and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure TechOps is positioned to deliver both near-term execution and long-term scale.
Key responsibilities
Define and establish the Operations Strategic Planning (OSP) across TechOps, aligned with existing processes.
Integrate portfolio demand, development timelines, manufacturing readiness, supply, and quality into a single, end-to-end strategic view.
Own strategic capacity and network planning across internal and external functions, ensuring alignment with portfolio needs.
Lead strategic long-term scenario planning and decision support, enabling trade-offs across products, pipeline, timelines and resource constraints.
Develop and maintain mid- to long-term (1–5 year) TechOps strategy and capacity roadmaps.
Establish governance, processes, and interfaces across CMC, Supply Chain, QA/QC, Finance, R&D and Commercial.
Build tools, dashboards, and capacity models to provide transparency on risks, constraints and system performance.
Drive alignment at TechOps LT level, ensuring planning outputs translate into clear decisions and actions.
Identify and mitigate bottlenecks and risks across the external manufacturing network (e.g., ADC capacity, QC constraints).
Support investment prioritization and strategic decision-making based on data-driven insights.
Requirements
Advanced degree (MS/PhD or MBA) in life sciences, engineering, supply chain, or related field.
12–15+ years of experience within TechOps, CMC, Supply Chain, or strategic planning within biotech/pharma.
Proven experience with Integrated Business Planning (IBP), S&OP, capacity planning or network strategy.
Demonstrated ability to operate at the intersection of strategy and execution.
Experience driving cross-functional alignment in a matrix organization.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
Executive presence and stakeholder management skills, with ability to influence senior leadership.
