About the Role

The Director of Operations is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and directing all functions of the department(s) to meet the stated mission, vision, and values of the organization. It is expected that the Director will effectively operate the department, continue the improvement of the department’s processes and outcomes, comply with hospital, ambulatory surgery centers, imaging centers, and corporate policy and procedures, efficiently manage finances and resources, promote teamwork and customer satisfaction, and integrate the department services into the organization’s overall plan for the delivery of care and service. 

POSITION’S ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Defining, implementing, and revising operational policies and guidelines for the organization. 
  • Developing and executing new growth directives. 
  • Supervision of staff, including time and attendance, time off requests, scheduling, trainings. 
  • Partners with Human Resources department to participate in established procedures for performance management, employee relations, and recruiting. 
  • Present reports on the company’s business and performance. 
  • Keeping track of the company’s revenue margins and conduct budget reviews to maximize profits. 
  • Document cost savings, activity levels, and end user satisfaction. 
  • Maximize the use of contract vendors for equipment purchases. 
  • Review and process CERs in a timely fashion and in compliance with PSN Accounting Policy. 
  • Evaluate each CER to determine if refurbished equipment options are appropriate. 
  • Oversee the RFP and search process for all refurbished equipment. 
  • Coordinate closely with project equipment planners to ensure that equipment specifications are met in a timely manner. 
  • Particular attention should be given to coordination regarding refurbished equipment recommendations. 
  • Continuously monitor vendor performance in terms of delivery, installation, warranty service, and training. 
  • Establish strong lines of communication and support with Group offices. 
  • Provide corporate level support to hospital staff including CEO’s CFO’s CNOs and Department directors. 
  • Set clear goals and expectations; provide regular coaching, feedback, and performance reviews.
  • Develop talent through mentoring, training, and career development initiatives.
  • Promote a collaborative and engaging work environment that aligns with company values.
  • Manage conflict and make timely decisions to maintain team focus and performance.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and development conversations.
  • Approve timecards, schedules, time-off requests, and other administrative HR functions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and safety regulations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent years of experience. 
  • Minimum of one year management experience preferred.
