The Director Operations Finance - Snacking, owns the global operations finance strategy and is accountable for driving sustainable financial performance across the Snacking manufacturing network (4 plants in NA, 2 in Europe and 1 in GB) This role sets the performance management standards, cost governance frameworks, and financial decision-support model for operations, ensuring alignment between operational strategy, capital deployment, and financial outcomes. Acting as a key member of the operations leadership ecosystem, the Director influences enterprise-level trade-offs, prioritizes value-creation initiatives, and ensures consistent execution across plants through a high-performing finance organization.
What you'll be doing:
- Define and lead the Snacking Operations Finance strategy, including the operating model, governance structure, and performance management cadence across all manufacturing sites. Act as the senior finance authority for operations, shaping priorities, aligning plant leadership on financial targets, and ensuring disciplined execution of agreed initiatives across the network.
- Establish and continuously evolve the operations performance management framework to improve decision quality, early risk identification, and sustainable performance outcomes across the manufacturing network, including KPI definitions, review routines, and escalation mechanisms. Translate multi-site performance trends into forward-looking insights that inform strategic decisions on capacity, network optimization, productivity, and investment prioritization.
- Own the cost and productivity agenda for manufacturing, identifying structural cost opportunities and directing resources toward the highest-value initiatives. Govern opportunity validation and realization, ensuring cost improvements are sustainable, embedded in ways of working, and reflected in long-term plans.
- Set the planning assumptions and financial guardrails for operations, ensuring consistency between strategic objectives, capital allocation, budget allocations, and execution plans. Challenge site-level plans and trade-offs to ensure resources are deployed where they generate the greatest enterprise value.
- Act as the senior Finance partner for Operations within Snacking, influencing site leadership on financial strategy, performance priorities, and resource trade-offs. Shape decision-making across the manufacturing network by providing integrated financial perspectives on productivity, cost structure, capacity utilization, and investment choices.
- Serve as a key escalation and alignment point between Operations, Supply Chain, Veg Agriculture, and FP&A, ensuring financial implications are understood, debated, and embedded in decisions.
What you'll need to be successful:
- Master's or bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years experience in finance or related field, with exposure to operations/manufacturing finance.
- Proven experience in a leadership role managing finance teams and partnering with plant or operations leadership.
- Experience in a multisite and/or multinational industrial environment strongly preferred.
- Strong background in management accounting and operational P&L management.
- Expertise in variance and trend analysis, KPI design, and performance dashboards.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing operations and cost drivers (labor, overhead, efficiency, scrap, etc.).
- Leverages ERP and analytics platforms (e.g. SAP, Power BI) to enable insight-driven decision-making and performance governance.
- Strong people leadership skills: coaching, developing and engaging a team.
- Excellent business partnering capability with the confidence to challenge and influence senior operational leaders.
- Highly analytical, structured, and results-oriented, with a hands-on mindset.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills, able to explain complex financial topics in simple, actionable terms.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, matrixed, and international environment.
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
- Fluency in English (French or Dutch is an asset)
