The Impact You’ll Make

We are currently seeking an experienced and driven Director, Operations APAC to lead our regional galvanizing, Valmont Coatings, operations. In this pivotal operational leadership role, you will oversee a diverse network of hot-dip galvanizing and protective metal coating operations across the region, ensuring excellence in safety, quality, and performance.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate leader with a strong track record in operational excellence, capable of inspiring high-performing teams and driving continuous improvement across all facets of the business.

Reporting to the Vice President, APAC you will:

• Collaborate with regional leadership to develop and implement operational strategies tailored to APAC markets.

• Own and set performance goals regionally and ensure action plans align with Valmont’s strategic priorities.

• Lead the optimisation of operational efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness across countries.

• Coach and develop leaders to build a high-performing, accountable culture

• Visibly lead safety culture by modelling safe behaviour; engaging people to work safely and productively and holding them accountable to standards

• Manage regional budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.

• Oversee regional supply chain, logistics, facilities, and process improvement initiatives.

• Implement technologies to enhance productivity and manage cross-border complexities.

• Ensure compliance with local regulations, standards, and organizational policies.

• Track and analyse regional KPIs and performance metrics.
   

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, or related field; MBA preferred.

• At least 8–10 years of operations management experience, with regional leadership in APAC markets.

• Proven track record in Lean / Operational Excellence and embedding continuous improvement

• Experience leading large, geographically dispersed teams across multiple countries

• Strong understanding of APAC market dynamics and regulatory environments

• Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities

• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse teams
