Who You'll Work With

Reporting to the Vice President, Programs, the Director of Onramps will lead our recruitment and pipeline development, overseeing a team including a Manager and an Assistant. This role is critical for fostering a diverse pool of applicants and partners through year-round recruitment activities and programming.

What You'll Do

As the Director of our Onramps strategy, you will lead key workstreams that include:

(1) Racial Equity Centered Partnership Management

  • Build and create meaningful relationships with a range of outreach partners, including Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), global innovation hubs and ambassadors in multiple target geographies (e.g. Northeast Africa, Southeast Asia, Latin America), and sourcing partners (e.g. Enactus / The Resolution Project)
  • Design initiatives to increase diversity in our applicant pipeline by cultivating partnerships with U.S.-based and international organizations
  • Develop and manage relationships with volunteers, corporate partners, and other key external stakeholders
  • Represent Echoing Green at meetings / events with key external stakeholders including university partners, funder partners, and other social innovation spaces relevant to pipeline-building

(2) Culturally Relevant Program Design & Facilitation

  • Curate and develop culturally inclusive curriculum and key messages (including guidance materials, workshops, and trainings) to support Black, Indigenous, and other People of the Global Majority in their social entrepreneurship journey
  • Facilitate pipeline-building workshops and culminating showcases that engage potential applicants, funders, and the broader Echoing Green community
  • Project manage collaborative design processes and co-facilitation of workshops and showcases

(3) Department Leadership

  • Build, manage, and supervise consultants, contractors, and internal departmental staff toward data-driven program implementation goals
  • Drive staff professional development and performance through ongoing, direct, positive and constructive feedback and coaching
  • Manage departmental budget and budget planning process for travel, consultants, and other partnership-related and program development costs
  • Travel at least every two months, including key meetings in Echoing Green's NYC office, site visits to HBCU partners, and/or convenings to represent Echoing Green at a Fellow convening (both national and international locations)
  • Assist in the screening, decision-making, and due diligence review of Fellowship applications and follow-on investment decisions

Benefits

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $130,000 annually.
  • Benefits: Echoing Green offers a full benefits package designed to support employee wellness. This includes up to 27 days off per year, a best-in-class health insurance which covers medical, dental, and vision needs, fully paid parental leave, a monthly well-being stipend of $100/month, a monthly wireless stipend of $100/month, professional development stipend of $1000 per fiscal year, and a 403(b)-retirement savings plan with an employer match up to 7% of annual salary after first year of employment.

The Director, OnRamps role is designed for remote work on a permanent basis. The role is available to candidates residing anywhere based in the United States, though travel will be expected to be for conferences, workshops and team development etc.
