Responsibilities:
The Director of Nursing is responsible to plan, organize, develop and direct the overall functions of the Nursing Services Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards governing long-term care facilities, and as may be directed by the Administrator, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care can be provided to the residents at all times.
Qualifications
- Must be an active Registered Nurse license in good standing.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be knowledgeable of general, rehabilitative and restorative nursing and medical practices and procedures and laws, regulations and guidelines governing long-term care.
- Positive attitude toward the elderly.
- Previous experience in an Assisted Living facility strongly preferred
- Must be knowledgeable of general, rehabilitative and restorative nursing and medical practices and procedures and laws, regulations and guidelines governing long-term care

Required Qualifications
- A Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Must have, as a minimum, one (1) to three (3) years of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing home, or other related health care facility.
- Current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in practicing state.
- Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations and guidelines pertaining to long-term care.
- Current CPR certification.
Skills Required
- Nursing degree from an accredited college or university
- One to three years supervisory experience in a hospital, nursing home, or related healthcare facility
- Current unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in practicing state / active RN license in good standing
- Current CPR certification
- Knowledge of nursing and medical practices, rehabilitative/restorative care, and long-term care laws/regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Positive attitude toward the elderly
- Previous experience in an Assisted Living facility
