Description
Job Title: Director of Nursing - Interim for 3 months
Job Type: Full-time
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Nursing to join our team as Interim DON for 3 months. The Director of Nursing will be responsible for overseeing the nursing staff and ensuring the highest level of patient care is provided. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing and management, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the nursing staff and ensure the highest level of patient care is provided
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures
- Manage the nursing budget and ensure resources are used effectively
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
- Recruit, train, and evaluate nursing staff
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards of care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred, not required
- Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a management role
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards of care
- Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills

Skills Required
