Responsibilities include:

  • Plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operation of our Nursing Service
  • Maintain current federal, state, and local standards
  • Determine the staffing needs of the nursing department necessary to meet the total nursing needs of the residents
  • Knowledgeable about long-term and rehabilitation care, state and federal clinical compliance
  • Has strong clinical skills for mentoring/education and use in the field
  • Leadership qualities include the ability to listen, inspire and motivate others, set expectations, listen, empower others and lead a team to great results

Requirements:

  • Must have current MO RN license with a minimum of two years management experience
  • Experience working in Long-term care environment preferred
  • Critical thinking/problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, proven ability to create and maintain a cohesive, effective team
  • Available at all times during operating hours
  • Understand business growth, financial management, personnel management
  • Must be organized, able to multitask, and delegate when appropriate

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  1. A Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
  2. Must have, as a minimum, one (1) to three (3) years of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing home, or other related health care facility.
  3. Current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in practicing state.
  4. Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations and guidelines pertaining to long-term care.
  5. Current CPR certification.

Skills Required

  • Current Missouri Registered Nurse (RN) license with a minimum of two years management experience
  • Nursing degree from an accredited college or university
  • One to three years experience as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing home, or related health care facility
  • Current unrestricted RN license in practicing state
  • Current CPR certification
  • Knowledge of nursing and medical practices, long-term care laws, regulations, and clinical compliance
  • Experience working in a long-term care environment
  • Strong clinical skills for mentoring and education
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain a cohesive team
  • Availability during operating hours and ability to be present as needed
  • Understanding of business growth, financial management, and personnel management
