We are currently seeking a full-time Director of Nursing to join our team at Apalachee Correctional Institution- West Unit located in Sneads, Florida.
The Director of Nursing (DON) is responsible for providing clinical, educational and professional supervision for nursing and support staff in the correctional environment. Works under the direction of the contract manager and collaborates with mental health/medical leadership and other members of the multidisciplinary team to improve health care of incarcerated patients.
Qualifications- Associate's degree required
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Progressive experience in nursing care with a minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience preferred
- Corrections, forensic, or criminal justice experience preferred
- Must show/obtain current Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation for tuberculosis screening
- Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Ability to obtain security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
Available Shift: Monday-Friday, extra shifts as needed
