The Role

The Director of Regional Marketing will oversee the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across North America, with a focus on driving pipeline generation, accelerating revenue growth, and increasing market share. Reporting to the VP of Integrated Marketing, this role will drive alignment with sales targets, channel strategies, product strategy and overall company objectives. 

This individual will collaborate closely with North America sales teams and act as a trusted advisor to sales leadership. Success in this role requires a deep understanding of the cybersecurity market, Mimecast solutions while building strong relationships with key customers and partners. 

Additionally, you will lead and mentor a team of regional marketing managers, fostering their development to meet revenue goals in the US, Canada, and Mexico. This role will also partner with global marketing teams and BDR/SDR leadership on campaigns, content, digital, and product marketing initiatives.

 

What You'll Do:

  • North America Integrated Marketing Plan: Partner with North America Sales leaders to develop, own, and execute comprehensive regional marketing strategies aligned with revenue targets and business objectives across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Manage the annual field marketing budget for North America 

  • Global Campaign Collaboration. Collaborate with the Growth Marketing team to plan and execute integrated North America campaigns aligned with global initiatives and high-priority markets. Develop innovative go-to-market strategies for product launches and market expansion, and partner with sales leadership to target key markets and growth verticals. 

  • Customer Experiences. Deliver exceptional customer experiences and achieve pipeline targets through the flawless execution of Mimecast-hosted events, key industry conferences like RSA and Blackhat, technical alliance partner events, and regional roadshows. Organize executive engagement programs, including customer advisory boards, C-level roundtables, and customer dinners, to showcase success stories and drive cross-sell opportunities. 

  • Account-Based Marketing (ABM) Strategy. Develop and implement an Account-Based Marketing (ABM) strategy to support Target Account Sales efforts by engaging key accounts and buyers with personalized memorable campaigns. Execute ABM and C-level initiatives to accelerate opportunities, integrate partner co-marketing programs into regional plans, and launch targeted programs to drive new account growth. 

  • Pipeline Generation and Optimization. Manage and monitor pipeline creation and follow-up of Qualified Accounts from Marketing to Business Development Representatives (DDRs) and Sales teams to achieve pipeline and revenue targets. Establish KPIs and metrics to measure program effectiveness while providing regular reporting on pipeline impact, ROI, and overall performance 

  • Partner Marketing. Drive growth by developing and executing joint go-to-market (GTM) plans with strategic channel partners and technical alliance partners. Collaborate on initiatives that support our growth objectives and enhance market reach through combined efforts.

What You'll Bring:

  • 10+ years of B2B marketing experience, with at least 5 years in cybersecurity or enterprise software. Passion for monitoring and reporting on key metrics and pivoting marketing plans based on results 

  • Proven track record of driving pipeline and revenue growth through field marketing programs. Passion for working with sales teams and ability to influence others cross functionally 

  • Comfortable with day-to-day execution and longer-term planning 

  • Experience with marketing automation platforms (Marketo, Eloqua) and CRM systems (Salesforce) 

  • Experience leading teams of 7+ marketing professionals 

  • Willing to travel 30% of the time 

  • Strong understanding of enterprise security solutions and buyer personasDeep understanding of the cybersecurity landscape and competitive dynamic 

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred
