Alertus is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of New Markets & Industry Relations to join our team. This role is crucial for accelerating the company’s growth initiatives by focusing on strategic expansion into new areas.
This is an office based role and requires reporting to our HQ in Baltimore daily.
A Day in the Life:
- Lead the development and execution of strategies for penetrating and succeeding in new markets.
- Drive initiatives specifically focused on vertical markets expansion, identifying key segments for targeted growth
- Cultivate and maintain strategic industry relations to position Alertus for future opportunities
- Act as the primary liaison and relationship manager for specifiers and consultants community
- Collaborate with the leadership team to augment and accelerate the company’s overall business development and growth initiatives
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Proven ability to develop and execute comprehensive strategies for penetrating new markets and expanding vertical market presence.
- Exceptional skills in establishing and maintaining high-level relationships with industry leaders and the consultant community.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and business acumen with a history of driving measurable growth results.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to travel up to 25%
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communications, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in business development, sales, or strategic alliance leadership roles
- Prior experience in the mass notification, integrated systems, or related technology-driven B2B industry preferred
