Job Title: Director – Network Operations & Engineering (US, UK, EU Client Support – India Delivery)
Location: India (Chennai)
Work Model: Hybrid | Must support U.S. time zones (EST/PST overlap)
Job Summary:
We are hiring a Director – Network Operations & Engineering to lead a high-impact team in India supporting a U.S.-based telecommunications or managed services provider. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring high availability, operational excellence, and engineering quality across network operations delivered from India.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management
Lead, mentor, and grow a team of 20–30 engineers across NOC operations and network engineering functions.
Manage shift planning, team performance, career development, and technical skill-building.
Foster a culture of accountability, responsiveness, and continuous improvement.
Service Delivery & Operations
Ensure 24x7 operational support coverage, especially during U.S. business hours, including incident response, monitoring, change management, and escalation handling.
Oversee service delivery across IP networks, routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and SD-WAN deployments.
Network Engineering & Support
Manage the delivery of network configuration, provisioning, performance optimization, and root cause analysis (RCA).
Collaborate with the client’s U.S., U.K, EU-based architecture and engineering teams on network designs, rollouts, and upgrades.
Ensure standardization and documentation of all network processes and procedures.
Client & Stakeholder Management
Act as the primary point of contact for the U.S., U.K, EU client’s operations and engineering leadership.
Lead regular service reviews, incident retrospectives, and roadmap planning meetings.
Ensure proactive communication, SLA compliance, and high client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer Science, or related field.
12–15+ years of experience in network operations and engineering, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.
Experience delivering outsourced or offshore network services for a U.S., U.K, EU -based telecom or MSP is mandatory.
Strong knowledge of IP networking (BGP, OSPF, MPLS), WAN/LAN, SD-WAN, VPN, DNS/DHCP, and network security fundamentals.
Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet, or equivalent technologies.
Familiarity with monitoring and ticketing tools (SolarWinds, Netcool, ServiceNow, Zabbix, etc.).
Preferred Skills:
Network certifications such as CCNP/CCIE, JNCIP, or equivalent.
Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Python) is a plus
