Description:
The Director, National Sales (Parkinson's Disease) will lead, direct and manage all activities of the assigned regions led by the Regional Business Manager (RBM) toward the primary purpose of improving overall performance at the regional level by achieving and exceeding all organizational revenue, performance and strategic goals & objectives. Additionally, the Director, National Sales will be responsible for managing analytics, data and personnel in their assigned regions. The position will report to the Vice President, Specialty Commercial Sales and will work closely with senior management across other functional areas to ensure strategic alignment with overall company objectives. This position requires 75% - 100% overnight travel
Essential Functions:
- Provide clear and direct leadership to assigned regional field sales teams in order to maximize productivity efforts and minimize non-sales related distraction.
- Consistently communicate with assigned regional field sales teams and regional sales training managers by providing organizationally aligned directives and coaching.
- Develop key relationships with KOLs and the MDS community.
- Conduct scheduled field visit reviews with RBMs along with field time with SSRs.
- RBM field reviews should include regional team performance reviews, FCR reviews and coaching, data and performance report review & analysis, individual RBM skill development and priority directives.
- Oversee the recruiting, hiring, training and staffing of the field team positions (RBM and Specialty Sales Representatives - SSR) in an effective and timely manner.
- Provide direction and feedback in the areas of performance management and recognition, Circle of Excellence rankings and promotional opportunities.
- Effectively manage the activities of RBMs.
- Provide frequent, ongoing performance feedback & report analysis.
- Ensure appropriate personnel development.
- Under the direction of the VP, Specialty Commercial Sales coordinate and communicate with the VP, Commercial Analytics and Operations and VP, Marketing and Managed Markets & Trade and other internal personnel as needed, the analysis of organizational performance and the alignment of subsequent field directives and priorities.
- Recommend positive solutions toward increasing productivity and improving operational efficiency.
- Conduct sales planning for upcoming years to reflective of organizational goals and changing business needs.
- Support and assist the RBM with the management of the field team expenditures vs. budget.
- Participate in the review and updating of the IC Plan. Review, analyze and update all utilized data reports and documents (FCR, Performance Reviews, etc.).
- Assist with field POA planning and execution and the development of training content.
- Lead the planning, development and execution of the Regional Business Review Meeting agenda.
- Participate and provide sales perspectives during Brand Team meetings.
- Review and provide feedback on SSR training (Home Study, IST, Advanced Training) as needed.
- Ensure that all contracted services, information flow strategies (data reports, IC Scorecards, etc.) and all other deliverables are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
- Foster and develop KOL relationships through field visits or association event attendance
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (ie., Marketing or Business) - Required
- Master Degree (MBA) - Preferred
Experience:
- 10 years Minimum of demonstrated track record of success in pharmaceutical sales
- 8 years Minimum of pharmaceutical sales management experience to include successful new product launches and effective leadership of personnel
- 5 years or more in Migraine/Neurology/Rare Disease experience
- Specialty Pharmacy and limited distribution experience
- For Internal candidates:
- 3 years Minimum as a Regional Business Manager, preferably with Amneal or three years of management experience and an established track record of performance success
The base salary for this position ranges from $240,000 to $290,000 per year. In addition, Amneal offers a short-term incentive opportunity, such as a bonus or performance-based award, with this position within the first 12 months. Amneal ranges reflect the Company’s good faith estimate of what Amneal reasonably believes that it will pay for said position at the time of the posting. Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors, including but not limited to, qualifications, experience, geographic location and other relevant skills.
