Job Summary

Responsible for the development and execution of sales strategies across national, strategic, regional accounts, and inside sales. This role focuses on strategic business planning, strengthening customer engagement capabilities, and leading customer and vendor relationships to drive sustainable business growth. The role is also accountable for ensuring exceptional service delivery by effectively managing sales and operational activities for national and strategic customers across Canada.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Leads and manages National Account sales teams and customer sales operations, supporting national and strategic customers.
  • Oversees all sales operations related to national and strategic customers, including expense management, vendor collaboration, and sales and distribution activities.
  • Analyzes sales and operational reports to identify opportunities, develops initiatives to address performance gaps, and drives strong collaboration across field sales leadership and outside sales teams to deepen execution with national and strategic customers.
  • Plays a hands-on leadership role with national account teams, actively supporting project-based selling and execution across national and strategic customers.
  • Reviews and approves promotional strategies and activities, partnering with internal cross-functional teams to ensure relevance, alignment, and effective execution with the company’s largest customers.
  • Builds and strengthens internal and external relationships (customers, sales teams, peers, and suppliers) to drive collaboration and accelerate growth with national and key local customers.
  • Assesses and refines inside sales processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness, streamlining workflows and improving conversion rates.

Nature and Scope

  • Problems are typically defined by higher level leadership. Problems are difficult. Solutions require analysis and investigation.

  • Decides how to achieve planned results within an organization's plans, policies, and guidelines. May set or change plans/goals within respective department or area.

  • May manage department via multiple layers of managers OR directly supervise a staff of professional individual contributors at the senior or technical advisor level.

Work Environment

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

  • Typically requires overnight travel 20% to 50% of the time.

Education and Experience

  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 9+ years of experience in a related field, including several years in a management/supervisory capacity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, with 12+ years of progressive industry sales experience.
  • Progressive experience in sales strategy and planning, financial planning and analysis, management consulting, or related disciplines within a comparable customer base.
  • Demonstrated experience leading successful cross‑functional partnerships, with a strong sales orientation and the ability to drive project‑level execution.
  • Broad knowledge and expertise across a diverse range of products and sales channels, including eCommerce, tools, safety, rebates, and the value of procurement consolidation.

Minimum Pay

$166,700.00
