We are seeking a Director of Member Engagement Strategy to lead high-impact initiatives that connect more people to mental healthcare through thoughtful, effective marketing. Reporting to the Senior Director of Member Growth, this role will drive strategic member engagement programs in partnership with Spring Health’s largest customers. This person will be responsible for driving strategy and execution that unlocks activation, retention, and long-term outcomes through tailored, data-informed initiatives.

This is a full-time position based in NYC. The role operates under a hybrid model, with three days per week in our HQ at 60 Madison Ave office required.

As a key leader within Member Growth, you’ll oversee a team of vertical marketers focused on high-touch, high-value accounts. You’ll also help shape how Spring Health scales personalized engagement across our member base by developing repeatable models, systems, and success frameworks. 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead the Member Engagement Strategy team responsible for delivering tailored marketing strategies to drive enrollment, activation, and utilization across our customers. 
  • Develop and scale systems, playbooks, and measurement frameworks to ensure our member marketing strategies are both personalized and operationally repeatable.
  • Serve as the strategic engagement marketing voice in customer conversations, partnering with Strategic Account Managers and Customer Success to align on goals, progress, and strategies.
  • Translate complex data into actionable recommendations for both internal stakeholders and external partners, with a strong focus on influencing decision-making and optimizing outcomes.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to bring strategies to life and ensure alignment across member touchpoints.
  • Build and manage a high-performing team, providing mentorship, clarity, and accountability.
  • Drive continuous improvement through experimentation, feedback loops, and adoption of best practices across customer cohorts.
What success looks like in this role: 
  • A repeatable playbook for member engagement is adopted across the Member Engagement, Customer Success and Implementation teams. 
  • Strategic accounts consistently exceed member enrollment, activation, and utilization targets.
  • Cross-functional stakeholders report high satisfaction and strong alignment with the Member Engagement Strategy function.
  • Clear, consistent insights and reporting frameworks influence customer and internal strategy decisions.
  • Underperforming accounts are successfully remediated through proactive strategic intervention.
What you’ll bring: 
  • 8+ years of experience in B2B2C marketing, with at least 3 years in a team leadership role.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing enterprise engagement strategies that drive measurable outcomes.
  • Strong storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to translate data into compelling insights for both internal and external audiences.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives in complex, high-stakes environments.
  • Deep empathy for member and customer needs, with a passion for designing strategies that reflect population-level nuance.
  • Expertise in marketing platforms (e.g., Iterable, Braze) and analytics tools (e.g., Looker, Amplitude).
  • Experience in healthcare, benefits, or regulated industries is a strong plus.
  • Passion for mental health and alignment with Spring Health’s mission to eliminate every barrier to care.

The target base salary range for this position is $173,110 - $216,390, and is part of a competitive total rewards package including stock options and benefits. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We review all employee pay and compensation programs annually using Radford Global Compensation Database at minimum to ensure competitive and fair pay.
