Director of Marketing
SUMMARY:
The Director is a marketing professional who works with the marketing team member(s) to assure the execution of high-quality marketing strategies and takes full responsibility for setting specific objectives toward developing, implementing, and supporting the overall marketing strategy that drives profitability, brand consistency, and overall market growth.
JOB DUTIES
- Conducts in-depth research to identify new market opportunities and consumer preferences to support campaign creations. Tracks and measures marketing outcomes including marketing activities, response, leads, sales, retention, and ROI. Forecasts market trends.
- Generates innovative ideas to promote the Motion brand and products. Develops business cases to support new marketing strategies, budget requests, projects, and marketing plans. Uses customer feedback to ensure client satisfaction.
- Ensures brand alignment to increase brand awareness and equity. Works closely with cross-functional team leads across creative, social, PR, media, editorial, international and distribution/partner marketing to ensure campaign strategies ladder-up to broader campaign objectives has an integrated, coordinated approach, and delivers on key business objectives.
- Key contributor to a team culture that breaks the mold, fueled by innovation & creativity in a fast-paced environment, with positive & transparent collaboration. Utilizes primary and secondary research to be the voice of the consumer, industry, and cultural trends at Motion; Creates presentations or white papers that effectively present a well-supported POV for executive teams.
- Cultivates and manages relationships with research partners. Maintains insights database to support internal requests. Creates and consolidates summary reports. Manages project logistics (including legal contracts, billing, etc.).
- Develops, maintains, and communicates a portfolio strategy that is aligned to corporate strategy and objectives, including managing, and accelerating strategic opportunities and initiatives. Identifies trends and insights and optimizes spend and performance based on the insights.
- Curates and promotes company activities, relevant industry-oriented news, and activities to highlight as a thought leader for its target markets. Take steps to measure, enhance, and enrich brand awareness through various goals and objectives.
- Responsible for spearheading and leading all strategic marketing efforts throughout the company and works closely with the sales team to create messaging and content designed to enhance sales and foster lead generation. Directs and leads creative and brand elements.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Typically requires a bachelor's degree and five (5) to seven (7) years of related experience or the equivalent combination.
