Role Overview

We are seeking a strategic and execution-driven Director of Marketing to lead critical marketing functions based out of our Mexico City office. This role has end-to-end responsibility for Events Management and Creative Services, while also providing site leadership across marketing personnel based locally—both direct reports and matrixed team members. The ideal candidate is a proven leader who thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments and who brings a combination of operational rigor, creative vision, and leadership maturity.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Event Planning & ROI Management

- Lead the strategy, planning, execution, and measurement of all regional events including trade shows, customer conferences, partner summits, and internal events.
- Drive post-event analysis, ensuring ROI tracking and continuous improvement in experience, efficiency, and business impact.
- Manage third-party vendors, production teams, and internal stakeholders to deliver seamless, on-brand events.

Creative Services Oversight

- Lead and inspire the local creative function responsible for graphic design, video, and social-first copywriting that supports event promotion, brand storytelling, and customer engagement.
- Ensure all content is tailored for social media and digital channels—highlighting key moments from events, spotlighting local talent and hiring initiatives, and promoting Solera’s products and solutions in an authentic, audience-relevant voice.
- Partner with global brand and content teams to adapt messaging and creative assets for the Mexico and Latin America market, maintaining brand consistency while celebrating local nuance.
- Oversee the development of multi-format content (e.g., social posts, short-form video, visual assets, email banners, digital ads) designed to increase visibility and engagement across priority platforms.

Office and Team Leadership – Mexico City

- Act as the senior marketing leader for the Mexico City office, supporting the collaboration, onboarding, and performance of marketing team members in-region.
- Provide mentorship and professional development guidance to both direct and indirect reports.
- Foster a culture of accountability, creativity, and cross-functional alignment within the local team.

Global Collaboration & Process Improvement

- Partner with global marketing leaders to ensure consistent execution of Solera’s go-to-market strategy in Mexico and Latin America.
- Implement scalable processes and tools to improve productivity and communication across global and local teams.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8+ years of B2B marketing experience, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role overseeing events, creative services, or similar.
  • Demonstrated success managing end-to-end event programs with a focus on measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience leading or collaborating with creative/design teams, including graphic design and content development.
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to manage direct and matrixed teams in a multicultural environment.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English (written and spoken); comfortable presenting to executive leadership in both languages.
  • Experience working in a global SaaS, automotive, or technology company strongly preferred.
