The Director, Marketing Technology is responsible for the strategy, administration, and optimization of Curriculum Associates' marketing technology stack and digital ad operations infrastructure. Reporting to the AVP, Marketing Operations, this role serves as the dedicated product owner for all marketing technology initiatives — owning the roadmap, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring tools and integrations work together to support scalable demand generation and lead management. This role is the connective tissue between Marketing strategy and technical execution, partnering closely with IT, RevOps, and Paid Media to maximize return on martech investments. The Director is the technical platform owner for Pardot/Salesforce, with the Director, Marketing Automation serving as the business requirements owner. 

The impact you'll have:

Marketing Technology Platform Ownership & Product Management 

  • Own and manage the marketing technology product backlog — defining, prioritizing, and accepting work across all martech tools, integrations, automations, and enhancements to ensure alignment with Marketing priorities. 
  • Serve as primary product owner in agile/scrum ceremonies for marketing technology initiatives, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives in partnership with IT development and BA teams. 
  • Administer and optimize core martech platforms including Salesforce/Pardot (Account Engagement), BI platforms, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and other tools across the stack to ensure full feature utilization and data integrity. 
  • Serve as technical platform owner for Pardot/Salesforce — own system access, instance configuration, and platform-level decisions; partner with Director, Marketing Automation as the business requirements owner for all automation and email logic. 
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement new marketing technologies to address capability gaps (e.g., chatbot platform, CMS transition, intent data tools), leading vendor assessments and procurement processes. 
  • Own the annual martech stack audit and rationalization process — identify redundancies, gaps, and optimization opportunities across the full stack. 

Ad Operations Infrastructure 

  • Manage ad operations infrastructure across paid media platforms — including trafficking, tagging, pixel management, and campaign tracking — to ensure accurate attribution and reporting. 
  • Own and maintain ad platform pixel governance, including compliance review for platforms serving ads on curriculumassociates.com, in partnership with IT and Legal. 
  • Partner with Paid Media and Director, Marketing Data & Analytics on campaign instrumentation to ensure all paid activity is properly tagged and reportable within the Growth Marketing Reporting Framework. 

Lead Management & L2O Integration 

  • Partner with Director, Marketing Automation, RevOps, and outside consultants to support lead-to-opportunity workflow optimization — including lead scoring model implementation, form handlers, routing logic, and CRM integration. 

Data Governance & System Integrity 

  • Establish and maintain system-level and integration data governance standards across the martech stack — including integration documentation, field-level standards, and stack-level compliance. 
  • Identify and lead AI-driven workflow automation opportunities within the Martech and AdOps functions to increase team efficiency and marketing impact. 

Offshore Resource Management 

  • Direct dotted-line India-based martech/AdOps resources on high-volume, repeatable technical tasks including tagging, trafficking support, and platform administration tasks. 
  • Define KPIs and performance goals for offshore resources aligned to team priorities; QA deliverables to ensure accuracy and compliance standards are met.

What we're looking for:

  • Demonstrated expertise administering B2B marketing technology platforms with hands-on experience in marketing automation (Pardot/Marketo/HubSpot), CRM (Salesforce), and analytics tools (Google Analytics, DOMO or equivalent). 
  • Working knowledge of ad operations practices including campaign trafficking, pixel management, and multi-touch attribution. 
  • Experience functioning as a product owner in an agile/scrum environment including backlog management, user story development, and sprint participation. 
  • Ability to translate marketing business requirements into technical specifications and manage execution through IT and development partners. 
  • Strong understanding of system-level and integration data governance standards. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage vendor relationships and lead technology evaluations and implementations. 
  • Working knowledge of AI tools for martech and AdOps workflow automation; ability to evaluate, implement, and govern AI-assisted workflows. 
  • Experience directing distributed or offshore resources; able to scope, assign, and QA deliverables across time zones. 

Required Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • 7+ years of experience in marketing technology, marketing operations, or ad operations in a B2B environment. 
  • Hands-on platform administration experience required; martech stack management at a mid-to-large organization strongly preferred. 
  • Experience working in an agile/scrum delivery model preferred. 
  • Experience in EdTech, education, or mission-driven B2B organizations a plus. 

Benefits and Pay Range:

Pay Range – This role’s range is $110,500 - $196,500. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that Curriculum Associates considers in making compensation decisions based on our Compensation Philosophy. Actual base pay within that range will vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, prior experience and relevant skill sets. At Curriculum Associates, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances for each case. This role is also eligible to participate in the company bonus plan. The Company recognizes that minimum wage varies by location and will ensure all compensation decisions comply with applicable state and local laws.

Travel: Less than twice per month to company offices only
