PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $173,500.00-$211,900.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $135,100.00 - $250,600.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE:

As the Director, Marketing Operational Excellence, you’ll play a critical role in shaping how marketing operates at scale across BECU—bringing clarity, consistency, and efficiency to complex, enterprise-wide marketing processes. In this role, you’ll drive operational excellence by streamlining workflows, strengthening compliance, and creating capacity models that enable teams to deliver high-quality work faster and smarter. Your leadership will directly improve how marketing partners across the organization, ensuring efforts are aligned, compliant, and built to grow with the business. Through your expertise, you’ll help unlock greater impact from marketing by turning complexity into clarity and ideas into execution.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Enterprise Marketing Operations Leadership: You’ll define and lead the operational strategy for marketing across the enterprise, ensuring consistent, efficient, and scalable ways of working across teams.
  • Process Optimization & Standardization: You’ll identify inefficiencies, simplify workflows, and standardize processes across marketing functions—challenging duplication and driving smarter, faster execution.
  • Capacity Planning & Forecasting: You’ll build and maintain capacity models that support annual and long-term planning, helping teams align priorities, timelines, and resources across multiple dependency groups.
  • Quality, Compliance & Risk Management: You’ll establish and uphold marketing standards that ensure accuracy, brand integrity, data privacy, and regulatory compliance, including adherence to financial services regulations.
  • Automation & Innovation Enablement: You’ll explore and implement automation and AI-driven efficiencies that reduce manual effort while improving quality, speed, and consistency.
  • Financial & Budget Oversight: You’ll manage large-scale marketing budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting, expense tracking, ROI analysis, and responsible resource allocation.
  • Executive Partnership & Influence: You’ll collaborate closely with senior leaders and cross-functional partners, providing insights and recommendations that support enterprise decision-making.
  • Performance Insights & Measurement: You’ll oversee forecasting, ROI analysis, and benchmarking to evaluate effectiveness and guide continuous improvement.
  • People Leadership & Change Management: You’ll build, coach, and lead high-performing teams, setting clear expectations, developing talent, and guiding teams through change with transparency and accountability.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or Communications, or equivalent work or education-related experience
  • 8 years of experience in marketing operations within financial services, including enterprise process management, operational planning, and execution in a regulated environment.
  • 5 years of people leader experience in a business environment

Desired Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or Communications
  • Ability to provide direction and develop team skills in planning, design, and implementation of new marketing programs
  • Excellent project management skills with a strong service focus and ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables
  • Excellent written and presentation skills, including presentation development and delivery with confidence, enthusiasm, and salesmanship
  • Excellent interpersonal, decision-making, and presentation skills to effectively communicate with management, staff, and outside contacts
  • Demonstrated understanding of brand and its relationship to positioning, marketing strategies, and tactics
