The Position
We are seeking a strategic, business-driven, and strong Marketing Communications Leader to tell the Prologis story in China. This role integrates brand strategy, corporate communications, media relations, crisis management, marketing enablement, and cross-functional leadership.
This leader will work closely with global teams and China business units to strengthen corporate reputation, enhance industry influence, support commercial growth, and ensure brand alignment with global strategies.
Responsibilities
1. Brand Strategy & Integrated Communications
- Develop and lead brand and communications strategies tailored to the China market, ensuring alignment with global brand positioning, visual identity, and messaging.
- Build a holistic annual communication framework and content architecture covering corporate, product, and thought leadership narratives.
- Elevate Prologis’s leadership and influence in the logistics real estate and financial sectors.
2. Media Relations, Official Media Collaboration & Thought Leadership
- Maintain and expand strong relationships with industry, business, financial, and official media.
- Lead interviews, feature stories, editorial placements, and proactive thought leadership initiatives.
- Leverage multi-channel media—including official media—to amplify corporate reputation and drive positive narratives.
3. Crisis Communications & Issues Management
- Build and manage a proactive public sentiment monitoring and reputation risk management system.
- Lead rapid, coordinated cross-functional responses during crisis scenarios with accurate, timely, and compliant communication.
- Handle sensitive issues with high emotional intelligence, protecting corporate reputation and stakeholder trust, including government and institutional partners.
4. Marketing & Business-Driven Enablement
- Oversee design and production of marketing materials (digital and print), ensuring on-brand and impactful storytelling.
- Partner with business teams to develop targeted annual marketing programs, sales enablement tools, and industry campaigns.
- Plan and execute business-driven events such as customer events, leasing roadshows, open-house days, and industry forums.
- Link brand and marketing activities with measurable business outcomes including lead quality, conversion efficiency, and partnership opportunities.
5. Executive Communications & Internal Communications
- Provide strategic communications counsel to senior executives and leadership teams.
- Prepare executive speeches, presentations, thought leadership content, and internal messaging aligned with company strategy.
- Promote Prologis MVV (Mission, Vision, Values) and strengthen employer branding and corporate culture.
- Support culture transformation initiatives by developing communication strategies and content that drive adoption, engagement, and alignment across the organization.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Resource Integration
- Partner closely with global communications, marketing, GR, HR, operations, investment, and business teams to drive unified communication programs.
- Integrate diversified external resources—media, associations, government platforms, agencies—to expand brand impact.
- Lead major brand projects, regional communication initiatives, and large-scale marketing activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Communications, Marketing, PR, Journalism, Business, or related fields.
- 10+ years of experience in communications, branding, marketing, PR, or integrated communications; 5+ years in team leadership.
- Strong track record in media relations, crisis communications, and official media collaboration.
- Experience in real estate, logistics, finance, investment, or B2B industries preferred.
Competency
- Excellent bilingual (Chinese & English) written and verbal communication skills; exceptional storytelling capabilities.
- Strong execution, business acumen, and ability to manage multiple complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong ability to grasp customer and market needs; able to translate insights into effective communications strategies.
- Confident working with senior leaders; able to offer thoughtful guidance, adapt to different styles, and prepare them with clear, well-crafted communications.
