The Director, Marketing Capability & Transformation will play a critical role in shaping and embedding core marketing capabilities and learning strategies across the organization. This role will focus on building people, strengthening fundamental marketing skills, and driving a culture of continuous learning and development.

This role is ideal for a leader who is passionate about capability building, learning & development, and developing high-performing marketing teams.

What You’ll Do for Us

  • Lead the development and execution of marketing capability-building programs, focusing on strengthening core marketing fundamentals across teams.
  • Design and implement structured learning and development strategies, including training programs, coaching, and capability frameworks.
  • Identify capability gaps within the organization and develop targeted development plans to address them.
  • Drive a culture of continuous learning by embedding capability-building initiatives into daily ways of working.
  • Partner with HR, regional capability teams, and business leaders to align learning strategies with organizational goals.
  • Support the broader marketing transformation agenda by enabling teams through capability development rather than direct execution.
  • Develop practical, easy-to-apply frameworks and tools that help marketing teams improve performance.
  • Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and leadership development programs.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and best practice exchange across teams and markets.
  • Act as a thought partner to leaders on people development, team capability, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Support the adoption of digital tools and AI where relevant, focusing on building understanding and usage rather than driving technical implementation.

Requirements & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.

10+ years of experience in marketing, learning & development, capability building, or organizational development.

Strong experience in designing and delivering capability-building or training programs.

Solid understanding of marketing fundamentals (brand management, consumer insight, product strategy).

Experience working in cross-functional and matrix organizations.

Strong facilitation, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive behavioral change.

Fluency in English; Japanese proficiency is highly desirable.

Preferred

Experience in FMCG, food, or beverage industries is a plus.

Exposure to digital marketing, AI, or data-driven tools is beneficial but not mandatory.
