Position Summary:
ultraimpact – Make a difference for those who need it most
The National Account Director will be responsible for ensuring and maintaining broad access to all Ultragenyx products for their assigned accounts. This role will be responsible for identifying and building relationships with their accounts and downstream health plans including all books of business (e.g., Commercial, Managed Medicaid, Medicare, Health Exchange).
Work Model:
Field: Officially documented as working as a member of the Ultragenyx field team, generally interacting with third parties on behalf of Ultragenyx.
Responsibilities:
- Identify trends and assess comprehensive impact as well as opportunities
- Foster relationships with identified access account targets and develop a strategic business case for potential engagements
- Ensure the success and alignment of the entire portfolio with access accounts, with primary focus on strategic brands including [brands], in addition to products that will be approved /launched in the future
- Develop strategic account plans and strategy, by focusing on short (12-24 Months) and long term (2+ Years) strategic engagement and partnership objectives. Plans will include patient access objectives thin each account and will outline overall strategic engagement and partnership plans
- Establish alignment across internal stakeholders to enable optimal coordination of access account engagement so the full value of our offerings can be realized
- Build and cultivate influential relationships with key Account influencers including at the C-Suite level as well as leaders across each line of business within the access account
- Collaborate with commercial field team, medical affairs, patient services to resolve reimbursement issues that may be barriers to drug access
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree – Science (Pharmacist/HEOR) or other graduate degree
- Bachelor's degree - BA/BS required.
- Minimum of 5-7 + years of account management and/or leadership experience in biotech / pharmaceutical industry.
- Minimum of 5+ years Market Access experience and successful track record with large accounts, healthcare systems, national payers and/or regional payers.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in strategy in pipeline and /or in line product launches.
- 3+ Years experience in biotechnology/injectables market
- History of successful cross-functional partnerships across multiple internal stakeholder group.
- Medicare Part B reimbursement experience
- Managed care marketing, brand management and/or contracting experience
- Specialty Pharmacy channel experience
- Demonstrate advanced ability to ask strategic, insightful questions to obtain information on customer needs from all stakeholders in account #LI-Remote
The typical annual salary range for this full-time position is listed below. This range reflects the characteristics of the job, such as required skills and qualifications and is based on the office location noted in this job posting. The range may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.
This position is eligible for annual bonus and equity incentives. Actual individual pay is determined by demonstrated experience and internal equity alignment.
Pay Range
$215,100-$265,800 USD
