The Director, Manufacturing will lead and manage the manufacturing business in the Oak Canyon facility. In partnership with the Peripheral Vascular (PV) leadership team, will be primarily responsible for driving a culture of manufacturing excellence to enhance existing and future business processes across the site.
This responsibility includes the following key activities:
- Delivering on all Quality, Service, TTM, Cost and Safety goals
- Ensuring that there is an appropriate manufacturing excellence strategy that aligns with the Division’s current and future business needs and is in line with GQO Strategy.
- Ensuring a high level of people engagement, drive cultural initiatives and promote strong talent management on site.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Deliver on all Quality, Service, TTM, Cost and Safety goals
- Ensure local site goals are aligned with the Division’s goals and are being achieved
- Develop, implement and sustain all appropriate reviews and processes necessary to achieve required performance
- Ownership of all budgeting and projection processes for the area and ensuring our financial commitments are met
Ensure that there is an appropriate manufacturing strategy that aligns with the Division’s current and future business needs and is in line with GQO Strategy:
- Continuous improvement, manufacturing excellence and engineering projects and initiatives are being appropriately resources and implemented
- Excellent collaborative and trusting relationships with the R&D and Advanced Operations groups and the Division’s leadership teams
- New Product Development and New Product Introductions are being appropriately supported, resourced and implemented
- Site capacity requirements are met – short term and long term
- The “look and feel” of the facility being at levels of excellence
- GQO Manufacturing programs are being rolled out and implemented appropriately.
Ensuring a high level of people engagement and talent development within the Manufacturing function
- Ensure a culture and work environment that fosters high levels of trust, inclusiveness, commitment, high performance and accountability
- Ensure that appropriate talent management strategies are in place and executed locally to ensure recruitment, development and retention of top talent and appropriate levels of succession planning and leadership bench strength are developed in the Operations area.
- Lead a robust Employee Engagement action planning process.
As the local plant manager, contributing as a key member of the Leadership network and the Peripheral Vascular franchise strategy.
- Lead and direct a cross functional management support team for the Oak Canyon site – this will require working closely with the Division functional leaders to ensure appropriate alignment of functional strategies at a local level.
- Provide a great Customer Experience for internal and external customer site visits
- Establish and sustain appropriate site communications forums.
- Ensure that appropriate site employee engagement activities are in place.
Education/Special Training Required
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required, preferably in a technical or business-related discipline
- Masters preferred
Qualifications/Work Experience Required
- 10+ years Operational leadership experience and a proven track record of success in a manufacturing environment, ideally in a regulated industry.
- Demonstrated understanding of manufacturing excellence and experience in successful implementation of significant change management initiatives.
- Excellent leadership skills with a proven track record of creating a high trust, high performance and engaging work environment.
- Excellent presentation, communication, influencing and facilitation skills.

- US15: $179,300 - $298,700 USD Annual
