The Business and Strategy Analytics team is part of the Intelligence and Data Solutions team, that partners with the Asia Pacific Regional President’s Office to enable Visa internal business units to optimize performance and profitability, and make data-driven decisions. The team provides management intelligence to democratize data insights across the organization and strategic analytics to identify opportunities and deep dive on key payment trends and shape the future of payments.
What a Management Intelligence Director does at Visa
The successful candidate will focus on driving value from Visa’ unique data assets to strengthen and extend Visa’s impact in the payments landscape across the different markets in Asia Pacific region. You will be required to use your business acumen along with analytical skillset to partner with internal stakeholders deliver outcomes. Specific responsibilities include:
- Lead Data Analytics and Management Intelligence projects, supported by a team of data science team members
- Provide technical leadership for generating and visualizing business insights
- Lead R&D, data governance, system infrastructure and analytics evaluations
- Design workplans and milestones for data solution delivery
- Identify business opportunities for new data analytics solutions
- Spearhead stakeholder communication to understand challenges and offer solutions
- Synthesize ideas and engage in discussions with stakeholders to translate business to data problem statement
- Collaborate with stakeholders to leverage data for business growth
- Ensure effective communication and alignment among all stakeholders
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
QualificationsBasic Qualifications
10+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 7 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 4 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 13+ years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
What you will need
Technical
- Minimum 12 years of analytics expertise in applying data and analytical solutions to business problems
- Post graduate degree in Quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Operational Research, Computer Science, Economics or engineering, or equivalent experience
- Experience in working with real-world data sets and building scalable models from large-scale data
- Hands on experience with multiple data analytics and data science programming tools and technologies such as SQL, Spark, Hive, Python, R, TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, etc
- High proficiency in data visualization, and data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, etc
- Solid knowledge of data modeling, database design, relational data and ETL processes
- Knowledge of statistical and data science techniques such as neural networks, gradient boosting, logistic regression, advanced forecasting techniques, etc
Business
- Results oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor
- Good business acumen with strong ability to solve business problems through data driven quantitative methodologies. Experience in cards/payments, retail banking, or retail merchant industries is important
- Team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible style, with the ability to tailor data driven results to various audience levels
- Detail-oriented and able to ensure highest level of quality/rigor in reports & data analysis
- Proven skills in translating analytics output to actionable recommendations, and delivery
- Experience in presenting ideas and analysis to stakeholders
- Exhibit intellectual curiosity and strive to continually learn
