Job Summary:
  • The EHR Director Tier 2 is a key member of PivotPoint's Tier 2 Managed Service Division, responsible for the strategy and delivery of the EHR Application Team.  This role provides oversight to managed services clients and staff.  The ideal candidate will have worked as an EHR manager, has experience driving sales, developing best practices, monitoring financial metrics, and driving strategy within the team.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Application Managed Services department, driving operational excellence and achieving service level agreements (SLAs).  
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the various clients ensuring metrics are met.  
  • Collaborate with Sales team and Practice Leaders on pricing proposals, statement of work documentation, and client presentations to drive business.  
  • Establish, build and maintain executive-level relationships with CIOs, CFOs, COOs, CMIOs, and other healthcare leaders.
  • Prepare case studies and present best practices at various conferences and to the internal team
  •  Develop and manage the application team budget, tracking gross margin and resource utilization to optimize operational efficiency  
  • Create, monitor and analyze performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed  
  •  Evaluate new technology and provide recommendations on systems that could enhance team performance (i.e. time tracking, capacity, project management)
  •  Provide regular reporting and presentations to leadership, highlighting performance, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Must have strong strategic leadership skills with the ability to grow, optimize and guide large-scale digital transformation projects 
  • Ability to lead the sales cycle for Application opportunities from identifying the opportunity, qualifying the lead, presenting the material and contract execution
  • Experience leading EHR implementations and optimization initiatives, providing strategy and project planning guidance to team
  • Deep understanding of budgeting including capacity planning and resource utilization
  • Strong communication skills including executive report out and leading various meetings
  • Experience with healthcare IT project management, agile methodologies, and tools like Microsoft Planner
  • Ability to analyze project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions
  • Experience managing organizational change to ensure EHR adoption and operational efficiency 

Education and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience as an Application Manager or relevant experience.
  • Managed Services experience preferred 
  • Current Application Certification (i.e. Epic Ambulatory)
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law, Highspring believes that the following salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure to be between the range below. The individual may also be eligible for a variety of bonus and financial incentives based on individual and company performance.

Base Compensation Range
$140,000$170,000 USD
