Leidos Office of the Chief Information Officer is seeking a Director of Managed Business Applications. This position offers full time telework from any U.S. based location. US Citizenship is required.
The Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) reports into the Digital Modernization Sector and collaborates across organizational lines to deliver effective enabling digital capabilities to our global employee base. The OCIO team develops, deploys, and manages innovative digital capabilities leveraging industry-leading partnerships and cost-effective deployment and management models. The OCIO is seeking forward-thinking leaders to drive efficient capability delivery and management, more opportunities for innovation, and facilitate data-driven decisions across the enterprise.
This position is to lead our Managed Business Applications team to integrate, configure and support business applications and SaaS integrated tools to streamline Leidos operations and enhance user experience. The team combines technical excellence with deep industry knowledge to configure and integrate sector sponsored applications and provide assistance in building a strategic roadmap and enhance capabilities within the solution.
To excel in this role, you should possess strong technical knowledge across various architectural domains, such as application architecture, infrastructure, data, and security. Additionally, communication, stakeholder management, and project management skills are crucial for collaborating with diverse teams and driving successful outcomes.
Primary Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
Build and lead a high-performing, services-based team focused on platform configuration, integration, and continuous improvement.
Drive a cohesive enterprise roadmap that balances modernization, innovation, and cost efficiency.
Lead cross-functional teams in the design, configuration, and integration of key SaaS and COTS platforms, including Workday, Costpoint, Ivalua, digital manufacturing tools, and other enterprise solutions.
Develop an outcome-based culture that empowers teams, rewards excellence, and fosters innovation.
Enterprise Application & Platform Ownership
Maintain and optimize a clear, user-centric service catalog for our software backpack that enhances productivity for global employees.
Oversee vendor and technology partner relationships, negotiate roadmaps, and guide annual planning and budgeting.
Identify opportunities to reduce technical sprawl, consolidate platforms, and retire legacy solutions.
Execution & Delivery
Drive continuous improvements in project delivery, with emphasis on quality, performance, and user experience.
Evaluate and introduce new technologies and capabilities in partnership with enterprise architects and application leaders.
Collaborate with the Digital Transformation & Business Enablement and Chief Data and Analytics Office teams to pilot “Customer Zero” initiatives that test and validate new digital capabilities.
Establish metrics, KPIs, and governance that improve productivity, cost efficiency, and strategic alignment.
Contribute to the CIO strategic roadmap of progressive opportunities for modernization, innovation, and system retirement Drive continuous improvement in project / tool delivery with an increased focus on user experience
Required Qualifications:
Must be a US Citizen.
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology related field and 12+ years of experience in IT management; Master's and 10+ years of experience or additional years of relevant experience, training, and/or professional certifications may be considered in lieu of a degree.
6+ years of experience leading teams or IT projects with demonstrated competency in the full range of stakeholder management.
Demonstrable experience leading geographically-dispersed technical teams through large scale organizational change.
Demonstrable experience developing and executing a strategic vision through to deliver capabilities to an enterprise.
Technical expertise in at least one of the following domains: Costpoint, Workday, SaaS integrations/configurations.
Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate across diverse stakeholder groups.
Experience managing enterprise grade SaaS and COTS software solutions (e.g. Microsoft, AWS, ERP systems, etc.).
Experience with successfully managing P&L responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to obtain/maintain a DoD clearance
Engineering degree and MBA (strongly preferred)
