We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Integrations to lead the successful integration of acquired firms within accounting and professional services. This high-impact role is responsible for end-to-end integration management—across operational, cultural, and strategic dimensions—in close collaboration with our local partners, corporate functional teams (finance, IT, HR, compliance, etc.), and leadership teams.
The ideal candidate has practical experience with M&A integration, operational knowledge of accounting firms, outstanding relationship-building skills, and thrives in fast-paced and high-change environments. Success in this role centers on the ability to lead internal functional teams, earning the trust of managing partners and partner groups, while ensuring the smooth adoption of shared systems, processes, and cultural norms.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead and Manage Integrations: Oversee all integration activities for newly acquired firms, including creation and alignment of the integration approach, and ensuring timely and effective execution across accounting, finance, IT, compliance, HR, and operational functions.
Project Management Excellence: Drive each integration as a structured, high-stakes project—setting clear timelines, defining workstreams, tracking milestones, managing risks, communicating to stakeholders, and ensuring cross-functional accountability from start to finish.
Partner Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for integration with each acquired firm’s Managing Partner and leadership team, developing strong and collaborative relationships from Day 1.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as the integration quarterback—coordinating efforts across functional departments and ensuring accountability for deliverables from both corporate and firm-based teams.
Cultural Integration: Support softer elements of integration, including partner onboarding, firm communications, cultural assimilation, and change management.
Playbook Execution & Continuous Improvement: Apply and continuously refine our integration playbook. Identify risks, escalate issues early, and develop creative solutions to integration challenges.
Progress Reporting: Regularly report integration status, risks, and opportunities to the Regional VP, CEO, and firm Managing Partners, and ensure key milestones are tracked and met.
Regional Alignment: Collaborate with our firms to ensure consistency and best practice sharing across integrations.
Minimum Qualifications
7+ years of experience in operations or leadership roles within an accounting firm, preferably with M&A or integration exposure 7+ years of experience in integration and / or project management leadership roles, preferably with accounting or professional services exposure.
