Director of Logistics Planning

Director of Logistics Planning, Smith & Nephew, Inc., Fort Worth, TX: Collaborate closely with the Global Network Planning team, Commercial, and Senior Leadership team to develop the planning elements of the Supply Chain strategy. Collaborate closely with Americas distribution hubs to provide direction on product strategy. Monitor, root cause and apply strategies to reduce customer backorders. Identify constraints, risks & opportunities associated with demand across all franchises and provide recommendations and guidance of trade-offs for effective decision making by P+L owners. Develop and manage a small team capable of handling future business needs through continuous improvement initiatives, including systems and support elements.

Minimum Requirements:

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering (any), Business, or Health Sciences and 4 years of experience in the job offered or related role in the Logistics and Warehousing industry.  Employer will accept a 3- or 4-year Bachelor's degree.

Of the required experience, must have 4 years of experience in each of the following:

• SAP
• Utilize Excel to provide type solutions to complex IT problems
• Supply Chain
• MS Office Suite

Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience in Project Management.

Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience in Distribution Centre Procedures.

Must be willing to travel up to 30% (95% domestic and 5% international) to visit other S&N offices, conferences, and client sites.
