Job Description
Position Summary:
The Director, LNG Origination will be responsible for leading the strategy, negotiation, and execution of structured LNG transactions. This role will drive revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and collaborating with internal teams to secure long-term value.
Key Accountabilities:
- Identify, value and bid on structured transactions to enhance Caturus’ LNG portfolio.
- Monitor Caturus asset production and/or demand.
- Work with traders, schedulers, and Caturus management team on deal identification & evaluation process.
- Improve Caturus’ deal valuation/structuring process.
- Support other Caturus divisions that have exposure to LNG infrastructure. This may include negotiating long-term midstream agreements on behalf of those entities.
- Assist with monitoring LNG developments that may impact Caturus. Communicate any critical developments in a timely manner.
- Any other duties as directed by Manager.
- Adherence to all corporate Risk Management policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Education, Certificates, and Licenses:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Finance or Mathematics required.
Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in Origination in the LNG industry required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proven experience in contract negotiations for term structured transactions.
- Ability to develop and supervise other originator(s).
- Understanding of deal valuation & structuring process.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word).
- Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Proactive problem-solving.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
