The Role
Biller Genie is opening a 14,000 sqft, state-of-the-art, global HQ next to The Mall at Millenia with plans to rapidly scale from 50 to 100 employees, and we need a Director of IT to support this exponential growth. This role requires a strong leader who can manage and hold IT technicians accountable, build and maintain scalable corporate network infrastructure, and ensure the security and reliability of our IT systems. The ideal candidate has hands-on expertise in network administration using Ubiquiti hardware and experience managing corporate IT infrastructure in a fast-paced environment.
This role is an on-site position, requiring 5 days a week in the office. It is based in the Orlando area near International Drive, just minutes from I-4 and the Turnpike. If you are applying from out of state, please note that you may automatically be rejected due to distance unless planned relocation is indicated on your resume.

Primary Job Responsibilities: 
  • Oversee, mentor, and hold IT technicians accountable for performance, response times, and service quality.
  • Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices for troubleshooting, security, and asset management.
  • Manage IT projects, including system upgrades, network expansions, and security enhancements.
  • Ensure IT tech support aligns with business objectives and scales effectively as the company grows.
  • Work closely with other department heads to streamline IT operations and support cross-functional initiatives.
  • Design, implement, and manage corporate networks using Ubiquiti hardware (UniFi switches, firewalls, access points).
  • Monitor corporate network performance, security, and uptime, ensuring high availability and redundancy.
  • Oversee VPN, VLAN, and network segmentation for security and performance optimization.
  • Manage IT security policies, including firewall configurations and endpoint protection.
  • Maintain asset inventory, licensing, and lifecycle management for IT hardware and software.
  • Administer JumpCloud, OneDrive for Business, and other enterprise tools.
  • Implement and manage User Access Control (UAC), role-based permissions, and identity management policies.
  • Develop and enforce antivirus, malware protection, and endpoint security strategies.
  • Lead disaster recovery planning and IT risk management initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with data security best practices and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in IT, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience managing IT Help Desk teams and enforcing accountability.
  • Expertise in network administration with Ubiquiti hardware (firewalls, switches, APs).
  • Strong knowledge of IdP/MDM platforms (JumpCloud), OneDrive for Business, and Office 365 administration.
  • Hands-on experience with VPN, VLANs, network security, and access control policies.
  • Familiarity with antivirus, malware protection, and IT security best practices.
  • Experience with IT asset management, procurement, and budget planning.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or CISSP are a plus.
