Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced SAP S/4 HANA Transformation Leader to drive the successful execution of SAP-related business transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will oversee end-to-end SAP implementation, migration, and optimization projects to align with the organization’s strategic goals. This role requires strong leadership, stakeholder management, and technical expertise to ensure seamless integration across business processes.
The Director, IT - SAP Transformation Leader is responsible for overseeing and driving large-scale organizational change initiatives by implementing new SAP systems or significantly upgrading existing ones, including managing project teams, defining business requirements, designing solutions, and ensuring successful deployment and adoption of the new SAP functionalities across the organization, aligning with strategic goals and business needs.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
Develop and implement the overall SAP transformation strategy aligned with business objectives
Define the scope, roadmap, and timelines for SAP implementation and enhancement projects
Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, providing insights on SAP capabilities and trends
Project Management:
Lead large-scale SAP transformation programs, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery
Oversee the development and execution of detailed project plans, including risk mitigation strategies
Monitor project progress, manage resources, and ensure alignment with quality standards
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
Build and lead cross-functional teams, including internal stakeholders, SAP consultants, and third-party vendors
Foster collaboration among IT, business units, and external partners to ensure smooth integration and user adoption
Provide mentorship and training to team members on SAP best practices and change management
Technical Expertise:
Drive the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP modules (e.g., S/4HANA, FICO, MM, SD, etc.)
Ensure optimal integration of SAP with other enterprise systems and technologies
Stay updated on the latest SAP advancements and recommend upgrades or innovations
Change Management:
Develop and execute change management plans to facilitate user adoption
Act as a champion for organizational transformation, addressing concerns and driving engagement
Performance Monitoring:
Establish KPIs to measure the success of SAP initiatives and track post-implementation performance
Continuously analyze and optimize SAP systems to improve operational efficiency
Qualifications
12+ years of experience preferred
Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience preferred
Deep knowledge of SAP modules, architecture, and best practices
Strong understanding of business processes across various functions (finance, supply chain, HR, etc.)
Exceptional project management skills with PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Expertise in change management and user adoption strategies
Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and manage diverse teams
Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
