Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of IT Project Management to lead program and portfolio governance for the technology organization within G-III. Following stabilization, the Director will lead our ongoing technology portfolio, ensuring initiatives are prioritized, governed, resourced, financially managed, and delivered in alignment with business strategy. The ideal candidate is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience leading enterprise programs, developing PMO best practices, and driving organizational transformation across a complex global retail and digital technology environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead our technology portfolio, including integration initiatives, operational projects, and future enterprise transformation programs.
  • Establish and manage portfolio governance, project intake, prioritization, sequencing, and stage-gate decision processes in partnership with executive leadership.
  • Lead executive Steering Committees and portfolio reviews, providing concise reporting on project health, budgets, risks, dependencies, resource capacity, business outcomes, and strategic priorities.
  • Direct integrated planning across enterprise technology initiatives, including Microsoft Dynamics 365, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, MuleSoft, Shopify, OMS, PIM, DAM, payment platforms, customer identity, ERP, POS, WMS, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data, and related enterprise technologies.
  • Oversee M&A technology integration activities, including TSA transitions, Day One readiness, operational separation, vendor transitions, cutover planning, data migration, knowledge transfer, stabilization, and hypercare.
  • Own portfolio-level budget governance, forecasting, resource planning, vendor management, and escalation of financial or delivery risks.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development to Project Managers, Senior Project Managers, and external program resources supporting the technology portfolio.
  • Establish and maintain PMO governance standards, templates, reporting, RAID logs, decision logs, integrated master schedules, and executive escalation processes.
  • Partner with business and technology leaders to translate strategic initiatives into executable roadmaps with clearly defined ownership, scope, and success metrics.
  • Ensure organizational change management, business readiness, communications, training, adoption, cutover planning, and post-implementation support are integrated into program delivery.
  • Oversee strategic systems integrators, technology vendors, Statements of Work (SOWs), and vendor performance to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX controls, SDLC standards, PCI requirements, cybersecurity policies, architecture standards, and enterprise governance practices.
  • Establish post-implementation review processes and benefits realization frameworks to ensure initiatives deliver measurable business value.
  • Leverage AI-enabled project management and productivity tools to improve planning, documentation, reporting, meeting effectiveness, and proactive risk management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • 12+ years of progressive program, portfolio, or PMO leadership experience managing complex enterprise technology initiatives.
  • Prior experience leading Project Managers, Program Managers, and third-party delivery teams.
  • Demonstrated success leading global, multi-workstream technology portfolios across multiple brands, regions, and enterprise platforms.
  • Strong experience managing M&A technology integrations, TSA transitions, enterprise cutovers, vendor transitions, and post-go-live stabilization.
  • Experience overseeing enterprise initiatives involving Microsoft Dynamics 365, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, MuleSoft, Shopify, OMS, PIM, DAM, payment platforms, customer identity, APIs, middleware, and enterprise SaaS ecosystems preferred.
  • Strong understanding of apparel, wholesale, retail, omnichannel commerce, supply chain, order-to-cash, and global business operations.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen, including portfolio budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, vendor financial management, and resource capacity planning.
  • Strong executive communication skills with the ability to present complex technology initiatives to senior business and technology leaders.
  • Deep understanding of Project Management methodologies, SDLC, SOX governance, PCI compliance, cybersecurity controls, and enterprise IT governance.
  • PMP, PgMP, or equivalent Project or Portfolio Management certification preferred.
  • Willingness to travel as business needs require.

The pay range for this position is: $180,000 – $225,000 per year.
