About Delta Health Systems

Delta Health Systems is a healthcare third party administrator serving self-funded health plans, including single employer plans, multiemployer plans, Taft-Hartley trusts, joint powers authorities, and board-administered benefit programs. Our mission is simple: We make health plans work. We are looking for a data and technology leader who can help us modernize our data platform, strengthen enterprise reporting, and build scalable integration capabilities across affiliated business entities.

Position Summary

The Director, Data Analytics & Cross-Entity Integration, will lead the continued development of Delta’s data, analytics, and integration capabilities. This role is responsible for building reliable data pipelines, improving reporting and business intelligence, establishing data governance standards, and helping guide a cross-entity platform modernization initiative built around shared domain capabilities such as identity, provisioning, and eventing.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can operate at both a strategic and practical level. The successful candidate will work closely with executive leadership, business stakeholders, IT, compliance, operations, finance, and external partners to ensure that data is accurate, secure, accessible, and useful for decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the enterprise data analytics strategy, including data warehousing, data lake architecture, data pipeline engineering, reporting, and governance.
  • Oversee reliable ELT and ETL pipelines from claims platforms, eligibility systems, enrollment tools, financial systems, and third-party data feeds.
  • Develop and mature enterprise reporting and BI capabilities, including executive dashboards, operational reporting, self-service analytics, and governed semantic models.
  • Establish standards for data quality, lineage, ownership, stewardship, access, and auditability in a regulated healthcare environment.
  • Partner with operational leaders to translate business needs into practical data products, dashboards, reports, and analytical solutions.
  • Lead planning and coordination for a shared kernel program focused on common cross-entity capabilities, including identity, provisioning, and eventing.
  • Work across technology stacks and business entities to reduce duplicative logic and improve consistency of key business data.
  • Define data contracts, domain models, event standards, and integration patterns that support scalable growth and operational reliability.
  • Collaborate with compliance and security stakeholders to ensure alignment with HIPAA, HITECH, SOC 2, and minimum necessary data principles.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to executive, operational, and non-technical audiences.
What Success Looks Like
  • Business-critical data feeds are reliable, monitored, and delivered according to defined service level targets.
  • Executives and business leaders have trusted dashboards and reports that reduce manual data requests and improve decision-making.
  • Data quality, ownership, access, and lineage standards are clearly defined and consistently followed.
  • Core domain concepts such as member, claim, provider, eligibility, identity, and enrollment are modeled consistently across reporting and integration contexts.
  • Integration patterns become more standardized, reducing one-off connections and duplicated business logic.
  • The shared kernel roadmap is clearly defined, governed, and delivered in alignment with organizational priorities.
Qualifications
  • 10 or more years of progressive experience in data, analytics, technology, software engineering, enterprise architecture, or related leadership roles.
  • Experience leading data engineering, BI, reporting, analytics platforms, data governance, or enterprise data management functions.
  • Strong understanding of data pipeline architecture, data warehousing, data lake concepts, data modeling, data quality, and analytical consumption patterns.
  • Experience working with healthcare, health plans, TPAs, managed care, insurance, claims, eligibility, enrollment, provider, member, or financial data is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with domain-driven design concepts, bounded contexts, shared domain models, event-driven architecture, APIs, or integration architecture is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, SOC 2, privacy, security, access control, and audit requirements in a healthcare data environment.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, prioritization, and vendor coordination skills.
  • Ability to balance long-term architecture and modernization goals with near-term business reporting and operational needs.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with BI and analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with SQL, data modeling, cloud data platforms, orchestration tools, integration platforms, APIs, or event-driven systems.
  • Experience modernizing legacy reporting or integration environments.
  • Experience building or leading data governance, data catalog, semantic layer, or master data initiatives.
  • Experience working in organizations with multiple affiliated entities, business units, or technology stacks.
Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a practical data and technology leader who enjoys solving complex business problems through clear architecture, reliable execution, and strong collaboration. This person should be comfortable working with executives and technical teams, improving existing systems while planning for future growth, and bringing structure to a data environment where accuracy, trust, compliance, and operational usefulness are essential.
