About Renewa

Renewa is a leading land and infrastructure investor in the renewable energy industry. We help accelerate the transition to renewable energy by purchasing land, energy leases and royalty income – providing long-term capital solutions to project developers and helping landowners achieve financial security.

Renewa is backed by long-term institutional capital from Queensland Investment Corporation (QIC) and La Caisse (formerly CDPQ), two of the world’s largest infrastructure investors with over $400 Billion in combined assets under management. Their support strengthens Renewa’s ability to scale globally and provide permanent solutions for landowners and renewable energy stakeholders alike.

Our culture is highly collaborative, innovative, friendly, and inclusive. We believe that everyone brings something to the table, and value each team member for their unique contributions.

The Role

We're looking for a Director of Investments & Strategy to lead high-impact transactions and help shape Renewa's investment strategy. This is a senior seat at the table; you'll own deals end to end, influence how we deploy capital, and serve as a strategic thought partner to firm leadership. If you thrive in fast-moving environments, love the complexity of energy markets, and want to build something meaningful, this role is for you.

What You'll Do

Deal Origination & Execution

  • Lead the full deal lifecycle from sourcing and structuring through due diligence, term negotiation, approvals, and close.
  • Originate and execute land and structured investment transactions across target energy and infrastructure verticals.
  • Contribute to a robust pipeline of high-quality opportunities through proactive market engagement.
  • Manage Analysts and Associates in transaction workflows.

Financial Analysis & Modeling

  • Oversee, build, and stress-test financial models for complex investment structures.
  • Lead due diligence across technical, commercial, legal, and regulatory matters in partnership with internal and external subject matter experts, identifying key risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Lead preparation of Investment Committee materials, portfolio reports, and Board-facing analyses with clarity and conviction.

Strategy & Portfolio Management

  • Contribute to firm-wide investment strategy, portfolio construction, and capital deployment thesis.
  • Stay abreast of market trends and data to synthesize intelligence into insightful conclusions.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and proactively identify value creation and risk mitigation opportunities.
  • Operate as a senior thought partner to firm leadership on strategy, market positioning, and investor relations.

Relationships & Market Presence

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, IPPs, utilities, operators, and other key counterparties.
  • Represent Renewa credibly across industry events, counterparty meetings, and capital markets conversations.
Qualifications
What We're Looking For
  • 7–10+ years of experience in energy/infrastructure investing, project finance, or investment banking.
  • Deep commercial acumen with the ability to structure creative solutions in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Exceptional financial modeling, analytical, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Direct experience with land structures preferred (ground leases, easements, and options agreements).
  • Familiarity with power and renewables markets, offtake structures, interconnection, and project development cycles.
  • Self-starter who can operate independently and lead deals through the full lifecycle with minimal supervision.
  • Hardworking and team-oriented individual who can collaborate with executives and be a mentor to junior team members.
Why Renewa
  • Work on deals that directly accelerate the clean energy transition.
  • Senior role with real ownership — your fingerprints will be on the firm's strategy and portfolio.
  • Collaborative, no-bureaucracy environment where good ideas and execution win.
  • Competitive compensation and meaningful upside aligned with firm performance.
