Position Description
Reporting to Head of Product & Investment Solutions, this Director level role will lead the Investment Advisory team across asset classes — equities, fixed income, commodities, and FX — ensuring best in class investment advice, product origination support, and market commentary for our front line coverage teams and clients. This role demands a market visible thought leader with outstanding communication skills, the ability to navigate volatile market conditions, and a proven track record of inspiring confidence among sophisticated clients and internal stakeholders alike.
Key Areas of Responsibilities
Act as team head to lead the Investment Advisory team and formulate the overall investment strategy and multi-asset allocation framework, covering global equities, fixed income, commodities, and FX.
Provide ongoing investment support to sales team and directly engage with UHNW/HNW clients, family offices, and institutional clients through face to face meetings, conference calls, and bespoke investment sessions.
Deliver regular investment strategy updates, market outlooks, and technical training to RMs, product specialists, and other client facing staff.
Communicate timely and decisive strategic views during volatile market conditions or extreme risk events.
Prepare tailored client reports — including stock accumulation strategies, divestment recommendations, and share buyback insights — in collaboration with sales team.
Lead product optimisation initiatives and cross functional projects to enhance equities, fixed income, ETF, and structured product offerings.
Represent the firm in investment committees, industry forums, and selected media engagements.
Oversee production of daily market insights, weekly/monthly/quarterly market reports, and approve all key investment commentaries issued by the Investment Advisory team.
Generate equity ideas for the structuring of equity linked structured products (e.g., FCNs, Accumulators/Decumulators, bespoke derivatives).
Requirements
Minimum 15 years of experience in global financial markets within top tier investment banks, global private banks, or international asset management firms.
Demonstrated track record in Private Banking / Wealth Management environments, serving UHNW/HNW and institutional clients.
Master’s degree or above in Finance, Economics, or related disciplines with CFA or equivalent internationally recognised professional qualifications.
In depth knowledge of global capital markets, multi asset portfolio construction, and risk management.
Familiarity with Virtual Assets (VAs), including digital assets and related investment products, is preferred.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and client engagement skills, with the ability to inspire confidence at the highest levels.
Strong personal integrity, commercial acumen, and a well developed risk mindset.
Excellent proficiency in English and Chinese for investor report writing, and fluency speaking in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English.
Candidates with less experience would also be considered for the team member roles.
