The Role

We are seeking a Director to lead the NFL’s international data management program. In this strategic leadership role, you will partner with both the League & Clubs to deliver scalable, high-quality data services to develop and implement a centralized data management strategy for the NFL’s international enterprise initiative. You will be responsible for leading a team that collaborates across the organization to shape and drive the data management roadmap and ensure best-in-class data practices.

The Director will be a seasoned data leader with a proven ability to translate complex data challenges into strategic solutions that drive measurable business impact and exceptional leadership skills. You thrive in a dynamic environments, balancing strategic vision with hands-on execution, and you excel at building trust with stakeholders at all levels. Above all, you are passionate about leveraging data to create value, improve customer engagement, and shape the future of enterprise data capabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the vision for the international data services that enhance customer engagement and operational excellence. Responsible for setting priorities, establishing requirements and coordinating the program from a cross departmental perspective.
  • Team Management: Manage the international Data Product Owner team and oversee cross department coordination including weekly program status.
  • Customer Partnership: Build strong relationships with client stakeholders, leveraging data tools and capabilities to deliver superior service and measurable outcomes. Act as the day-to-day interface with the clients regarding the program scope and deliverables.
  • Data Product Architecture: Directs the data and consent modernization efforts. Provide hands-on leadership in design sessions, driving decisions that balance short-term deliverables with long-term scalability.
  • Culture & Talent Development: Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation. Attract, develop, and retain top talent to build a world-class data services team.
  • Operational Excellence: Advocate for best practices in data governance, quality, and compliance. Ensure solutions are secure, resilient, and repeatable.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years in data strategy, product ownership, or technical leadership roles.
  • 7+ years leading enterprise-scale data initiatives, including cloud data platforms, data lakes, and governance frameworks.
  • Significant experience in managing end to end data solutions (strategy, management, technology & governance) both in the U.S. and globally.
  • Proven experience in data services support and customer engagement.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence senior executives, collaborate with technical teams, and inspire your own team to deliver excellence.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Master’s degree or higher in statistics, data science, computer science, or other data related fields

Travel:

Limited Travel, international & domestic

Terms /Expected Hours of Work:

NFL employees are required to work 40 hours per week. Indicate whether the role will require overtime (time worked more than 40 hours) and/or weekends. Note* If your position will work under 30 hours per week, they should be part-time. FLSA** If an employee will be paid hourly, they will be non-exempt, and if they are paid a salary, they are exempt.

Salary / Pay Range

The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.

$195,000$230,000 USD
