Job Details:
This Corporate Accounting position leads the International Business Unit controllership. The role provides strategic leadership and oversees the international business unit accounting processes, consolidation into U.S. GAAP, reporting packages, financial reporting, controls execution, variance analysis, international finance master data, and accounting policy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Lead the International Accounting Controllership, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, other regulatory requirements and ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and analysis.
· Develop and maintain U.S. GAAP reporting packages and accounting policies.
· Train international finance and accounting team member in accounting practices and policies.
· Oversee the compliance of internal controls in the international business unit and ensure the integrity of financial data and processes.
· Lead efforts to improve the efficiency of our accounting operations, including process standardization and automation.
· Define and implement standardized financial data structures, hierarchies, and reporting mechanisms to enhance accuracy and benchmarking capabilities.
· Drive governance and process standardization, ensuring data integrity, security, and consistency across International.
· Champion continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating and integrating emerging finance technologies and best practices.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor’s degree in an academic field directly related and essential to this position is required;
· Accounting or Finance degree; masters degree preferred
· CPA is preferred.
· Minimum 10 years of experience in finance and accounting and international business experience
· A breadth of understanding of Controls and good technical accounting acumen and GAAP knowledge is necessary
· Strong expertise in SAP and other financial ERP systems (e.g., JDE, ECC6).
· Highly analytical mindset with the ability to identify financial drivers and develop value driven solutions.
· Strong leadership skills with experience managing a high performing team.
· Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
· Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, analysis and data visualization.
· Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
· Willingness to work flexible hours when required across different time zones.
