Compensation: In accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this position is posted with this position. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
Role Summary: The Director of Individual Giving & Communications will actively manage a prospect and donor portfolio of 100 to 150 high net worth prospects. The position aligns with the goals of the Development Department and the agency to actively promote St. Anne’s Family Services (SAFS) programs and services and partner with the Chief Development and Mission Officer to strategically elevate and maintain donor outreach programming. The individual will identify, cultivate, solicit and steward major gifts, including planned gifts, from new and existing individual contributors. Work closely with the Chief Development & Mission Officer to create strategies for major gift cultivation and solicitations. Responsible for overseeing and implementing communications marketing that generates enthusiasm and interest translating into more opportunities for philanthropic support. The Director of Individual Giving & Communications serves as a part of the senior management team for SAFS.
- Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 09:00 AM – 06:00 PM; Friday 09:00 AM – 05:00 PM; Every other Friday off! (flexibility to change schedule as needed)

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify new and existing major gifts and planned giving donors through various channels.
- Initiate “moves management” program by analyzing contributor data base information (gift history, capacity, etc.) to create strategies and increase success rate with major and planned gifts.
- In collaboration with the CDMO, analyze trends that inform new strategies for increased funding.
- Maintain, initiate and track detailed, accurate records in Raiser’s Edge Database as a follow up to all visits, conversations and outreach.
- Provide tours of St. Anne’s Family Services main campus to new and existing contributors as well as meet with donors off-site..
- Oversee the Development Operations team and conduct consistent supervision meetings with team members.
- Serve as an Ambassador of St. Anne’s Family Services and communicate its mission and values in public settings to contributor groups (i.e., board members, trustees, corporate and individual prospects, volunteers and others)
Qualifications:
- A minimum a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
- A minimum of seven years of experience with fund development or related experience
- Proficiency with Raiser’s Edge Database system, Monday.com and Outlook software programs
- Understanding of available tools for giving: such as estate plans, charitable remainder trusts, IRA’s, stock, insurance policies, ACH, cash, community foundations
- Proven track record of successfully soliciting major gifts (upwards of $10,000 and above) from individuals.
