As a Dir, Human Resources Business Leader at our Cartago plant, you will serve as a strategic and trusted advisor to your designated stakeholder group, translating the business needs, and aligning business goals with talent solutions. In this role, you will collaborate closely with leadership to align business objectives with people strategies, translating organizational goals into talent solutions. You will contribute to shaping future talent and organizational priorities, drive both short- and long-term strategies, and implement core HR processes to ensure the achievement of business outcomes.
This role will be onsite at our Cartago plant full time. Candidates open to relocation to Costa Rica are welcome to apply.
How you’ll make an impact:
- Act as a strategic thought partner for assigned client groups to develop and implement Talent and Organization strategy to achieve its current and future business objectives.
- Coordinate and support the execution of the workforce planning process, anticipating talent gaps and developing proactive strategies
- Leverage effective consulting skills and principles to advise, influence and partner with leadership on talent strategies and actions to build organizational capabilities and an engaged and high-performing organization.
- Partner with COE's and acts as an internal consultant to deliver human resource programs for client groups such as pay review, annual performance review, mid-cycle reviews, engagement survey, etc.
- Partner with HR Management or COE's to evaluate the organization's future workforce needs in order to recommend changes to the HR strategy and adapt existing HR programs to meet these needs
- Coordinate the review of leadership capabilities, succession, and talent development planning to help ensure the right leaders ready at the right time to support business needs. Identify skill gaps; develop action plan to close gaps and ensure skill readiness; engage COE in action planning solutions.
- Utilize talent and org-related data and analytics in order to generate insights and action plans to drive decisions for group, business unit or function
- Contribute to the assessment of the change for the groups the support.Develop case for change, identify implications of change, develop change strategies (e.g.materials,communicate/execute/rollout, track impact of interventions and adjust as needed)
- Coordinate the execution of the Talent Acquisition Strategy for the assigned business groups to acquire new areas/capabilities aimed to deliver strategy. Participate in the interview/selection of talent and perform compensation analysis to drive competitive offers
- Other incidental duties.
What you’ll need (Required):
- Bachelor's Degree with 12 years of previous related human resources experience or Master's Degree with 10 years of previous related human resources experience
- Prior experience working in manufacturing in a regulated environment
What else we look for (Preferred):
- Expert level experience working as an HR Business Leader including but not limited to change management, employee relations, organizational design, performance management, strategic planning.
- Experience working in medical device is highly preferred
- Proven ability to work closely and collaboratively with business leaders to drive strategic initiatives.
- Comfortable working in a highly matrixed, shared services environment with the ability to build and leverage relationships across various COEs.
- Ability to navigate challenging forces and hands-on experience in implementing HR processes in dynamic, fast-paced environments
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships across the organization including negotiation skills, conflict resolution, demonstrating excellent leadership skills and the ability to influence change.
- Proven successful project management skills. Representing leadership on projects within multiple areas, interfacing with project managers, human resources team and middle management
- Excellent facilitation and presentation skills
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills, including influencing, consultative, and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives
- Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels while establishing a positive reputation
