The Director of Human Resources & Recruitment is instrumental in supporting and developing a strong and positive culture. The Director will implement and lead all HR practices and objectives that emphasize the development of a superior workforce.


Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities

  • Develop Human Resource strategies and administer policies and procedures.
  • Handles the strategic vision of the Human Resource department and approves all high-level decisions while handling communications with C-suite.
  • Supervises centralized new hire onboarding for multi-state operations to comply with state and federal requirements. Ensuring a smooth and effective experience that provides new hires with the tools and skills to ensure their success.
  • Manage Human Resource Information System for all locations for standardization of employee records.
  • Ensure compliance with all existing government and legal reporting requirements, including any related to the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Paid Family Leave (PFL), Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), the Department of Labor, worker compensation, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and other relevant local and state labor laws.
  • Consults with leadership and state level Directors on programs related to the development of a positive organizational culture and morale.
  • Ability to create and implement programs to drive retention and workforce planning.
  • Works closely with third party vendors to administer company benefits, liability insurance and leave programs, including maintaining employee records in appropriate systems and ensures confidentiality.
  • Oversee the performance review process, ensure alignment with our organizational values, goals, and objectives.
  • Oversight of all personnel reporting, including but not limited to; EEOC-1 reporting, Unemployment Claims, and surveys with assistance of regional support.
  • Oversee all required correspondence relating to FMLA, PFL and Disability claims. Review all medical documentation and request further clarification where necessary. Track and maintain all leave claims to ensure accuracy of dates and eligibility. Communicate with all key stakeholders through FMLA process, from application to leave and return dates. Collect and remit premium payment for qualified individuals to the finance department.
  • Handles filing Worker’s Compensation claims across multiple states, collaborating with Worker’s Compensation Broker to ensure timely reporting and employee to ensure appropriate medical coverage and payroll processing.
  • Provides strategic oversight of the Talent Acquisition Department working closely with the Recruitment Manager.
  • Coordinates the safety program and is a member of the Worker’s Safety Committee.
  • Partner with operations leadership team to ensure alignment with direction of Constellation Kid’s vision.
  • Oversight and development of Human Resources team.
  • Leads and participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with background in Human Resources Management, Master’s Degree a plus.
  • 7+ years’ experience in Human Resources field. Previous healthcare experience preferred.
  • 5+ years’ experience in Human Resources management role.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of Human Resources and personnel administration.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Requires excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills with employees and management. Ability to work and lead multiple projects with initiative-taking follow through and tenacity.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree with a background in Human Resources Management
  • 7 or more years of experience in Human Resources
  • 5 or more years of experience in a Human Resources management role
  • Knowledge of Human Resources principles and personnel administration practices
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills with employees and management
  • Ability to lead multiple projects with initiative, follow-through, and tenacity
  • Previous healthcare experience
  • Master’s degree
