What You Will Be Doing

  • Lead end-to-end execution of corporate finance mandates (e.g., M&A, IPOs, privatizations and take-overs, equity and quasi-equity fund raisings, and corporate advisory), including transaction workplans, critical path timelines, deliverables and stakeholder governance
  • Mobilize mandates post-award by scoping workstreams, agreeing roles and responsibilities across parties, and establishing execution cadence, reporting and escalation protocols
  • Oversee pitch and mandate materials by defining the execution approach, transaction plan and deliverables, and ensuring proposals are appropriately solutioned to the client’s objectives and requirements, differentiated and deliverable
  • Direct due diligence workstreams (including key issues tracking and resolution), and drive alignment across legal, accounting, tax, technical and other advisers
  • Oversee drafting and review of transaction documents and regulatory submissions, ensuring accuracy, consistency and timely clearances/approvals from relevant parties and authorities
  • Ensure all deliverables are accurate, consistent and regulator-ready, and that engagements are executed in line with the highest quality and standards.
  • Lead and develop the execution team by setting quality standards, reviewing key outputs, coaching Managers/Associate Directors/Associates


What we are looking for:

  • Above 15 years of relevant experience in investment banking / corporate finance, with a strong track record of leading the execution and delivery of complex transactions (M&A and/or capital markets)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple workstreams, manage advisers and senior stakeholders, and make sound execution judgments under time pressure
  • Deep familiarity with Malaysia’s regulatory and capital markets environment
  • Proven people leadership: ability to recruit, coach and retain talent, and to lead teams to deliver consistent client outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to coach junior team members and uphold high standards of professionalism and integrity

Skills Required
