What you bring to SBHG (qualifications):
Active California licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Marriage, Family Therapist (LMFT)
Masters degree in social work, Psychology, or Marriage, Family, Child Counseling from an accredited college or university.
Professional Experience:
- Supervisory: Minimum of Two (2) years supervisory experience in a health care setting (experience directing a Day Treatment Intensive program highly preferred).
- Clinical: Minimum of Two (2) years direct service experience with mental health challenges (specialized experience with adolescents, group therapy, and group activities is preferred).
How you will make a difference (job overview):
Director of Group Services position plans, develops, coordinates and supervises the Day Treatment Intensive Program which meet the needs and interests of each client in the facility/program. Also participates in budget development and billing for the department/program and is responsible for its implementation and management. Organize and supervise the provision of community meetings, safety of groups, process groups and rehab activity groups to clients as needed and services including assessment, treatment planning and direct treatment services. Recruit, select, hire, evaluate, supervise and discipline group/activity therapists and aides. Organize staffing of the DTI Program to meet regulatory and policy and procedure requirements. Directly monitor the program by regularly working evening and weekend shifts. Monitor the quality of verbal reporting and written documentation of client involvement and progress in the program on a regular basis, to meet regulatory and policy and procedure requirements. Coordinate DTI and other group services with the overall treatment schedule with other departments in the facility. Coordinates community DTI contacts for outings and services to be brought into the facility. Reviews DTI Program participation hours monthly and recommends activity treatment action for clients, as necessary. Responsible for security and accuracy of all departmental petty cash monies.

Serving up to 60 adolescents (ranging from ages 12-17) statewide
Intensive residential services dedicated to serving clients with serious mental health problems with the highest dignity and quality of services since 1988
Programs: Psychiatric Health Facility, Community Treatment Facility and Non-Public High School – 24/7 locked facility
Multidisciplinary Mental Health Services, Therapeutic Behavioral Health Services, and Intensive Day Treatment Program
