Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:
As Director, Global Talent Development you will be a key leader on the Global Talent Management & People Strategy Team responsible for the design and operationalization of development programs and experiences that unlock potential, accelerate performance, and drive the engagement of our employees.
This role is based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid work.

The People and Culture (P&C) team partners with all aspects of the business to drive the continuous evolution of people and business practices. We seek to drive greater alignment, to develop and foster rapport, to create trust and maintain partnership throughout the organization. As Director, Global Talent Development, you will work to design, implement, and scale programs that are founded in the Arc’teryx Leadership Code, and that help employees drive impact in their current roles and build toward their career aspirations. You will be responsible for building leadership capability across all levels of the organization, with a focus on accelerating talent readiness and fostering agile and change ready leaders, while driving business performance to support our next phase of growth. You will oversee and drive the execution of our learning strategy, and partner closely with regions and functions.
If you were the Director, Global Talent Development now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:
- Defining and evolving the global talent development strategy aligned to business priorities
- Translating long-term strategy into multi-year leadership capability roadmaps
- Partnering with Leadership and People & Culture to align talent priorities to business outcomes
- Stewarding the Arc’teryx Leadership Code
- Designing and overseeing development frameworks across all levels
- Building scalable learning journeys and signature programs
- Ensuring clear leadership expectations at each level
- Embeding change leadership and resilience capabilities
- Designing accelerated experiences, in partnership with Talent Management lead
- Partnering with business leaders to create experiential development opportunities
- Overseeing global leadership programs, digital learning platforms, and learning vendors
- Ensuring memorable, high-impact learner experiences
- Aligning retail, corporate, and functional development approaches
- Measuring program effectiveness
- Providing coaching / assessment debriefs to leaders
- Leading and developing your team
- Fostering an environment of collaboration, continuous learning, and evolution:
- Leading through the Arc’teryx Leadership Code
- Building strength in relationships throughout the Arc’teryx organization

Are you our next Director, Global Talent Development?
- You have 8+ years of progressive experience in leadership development
- You have deep understanding of talent and leadership development
- You have proven experience in building globally scalable programming and generating awareness, interest, and hype
- You have experience in a global, matrixed organization
- You have the ability to build strong relationships and partner effectively with all levels of the organization
- You have the ability to see the big picture, translate it into tactical plans, and operationalize with excellence
- You have the knowledge of HRIS and talent management technologies a plus
- You have excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills
- You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable insights
- You have demonstrated ability to manage budgets and resources effectively
- You have a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, I/O Psychology, or a related field. Master's degree a plus.
