The Role:
As the Director - Global Supply Chain Excellence, reporting to the VP of Supply Chain, you will be responsible for designing, standardizing, and continuously improving end-to-end global supply chain and manufacturing processes for a global chemical manufacturing company. You will serve as the enterprise leader for SAP-enabled process excellence, automation, and digital transformation across planning, manufacturing, logistics, and shipping. Additionally, you will partner closely with Global Supply Chain, Manufacturing, IT, Procurement, Finance, and Commercial teams to shift the organization from reactive execution to proactive, data-driven decision-making.
How You Will Make an Impact:
Define and deploy a global supply chain and operational excellence strategy aligned with growth, safety, service, cost, and cash objectives.
Establish global standards, governance, and KPIs for planning, manufacturing execution, inventory, and logistics.
Drive consistent execution across regions while allowing for local regulatory and operational requirements.
Serve as the business owner for supply chain and operations processes within the SAP landscape (ECC, IBP/APO, PP, MM, SD, WM/EWM, TM).
Lead simplification and standardization efforts to ensure SAP is the system of record and decision support.
Partner with IT on roadmap, releases, master data governance, and solution design tied to business outcomes.
Lead next-generation automation across demand and supply planning, capacity management, manufacturing execution, logistics, and shipping.
Identify and scale high-impact use cases leveraging advanced analytics, AI/ML, RPA, and workflow automation.
Ensure solutions are practical, scalable, and embedded into daily operations.
Partner with manufacturing to optimize production planning, campaigns, changeovers, and capacity utilization.
Improve logistics execution including third-party warehousing, transportation, export controls, and hazardous materials compliance.
Enable end-to-end visibility from raw materials to customer delivery.
Lead global continuous improvement programs using Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving.
Build strong change management and adoption capabilities at regional and site levels.
Develop and coach regional excellence leaders and site resources.
Act as a strategic partner to Commercial, Finance, Procurement, EHS, and IT.
Support network optimization, resilience, growth, and sustainability initiatives.
Creating Extraordinary Starts With:
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations or related field. MBA preferred
Minimum of 10 years of progressive global supply chain and/or operations experience, preferably in chemical or process manufacturing
Deep SAP expertise in IBP and/or MRP modules
Proven experience leading global process standardization and digital transformation
Strong understanding of safety, quality, regulatory, and hazardous materials requirements
Lean Six Sigma certifications preferred
Experience with AI-enabled analytics, advanced planning tools or RPA platforms preferred
