Job Summary

Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, which we’re calling SpinCo, until the name is unveiled. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Director Program Management. The Director Program Management will be based in Guadalajara North Campus, reporting to Sr. Director Program Management. This position will be Responsible for developing corporate, global, and organizational policies, and directing cross functional activities to deliver quality programs to external customers, with the overall focus to ensure customer satisfaction and retention to generate growth for the business

What a typical day looks like:

  • Support the program team in the guidance of clients by developing strategic plans, goals, timelines, and measures of success for implementing contracted Flex’s products and services. Act as the primary point of contact between the business and its clients.
  • Oversee the scheduling, coordination and implementation of contracted Flex’s products and services for assigned clients.
  • Coordinate with the client and Flex operations to define data requirements, production schedule and deliverables as required.
  • Ensure effective communication of strategy as required between cross functional teams to ensure project / product or service has a smooth and timely transition through all phases of documented development processes.
  • Work with the Director and Management team about coordination of team members to ensure key metrics are monitored per account and that customer satisfaction is closely monitored.
  • Innovate and authorize projects using broad and far vision and expertise in customer requirements to improve and/or extend the value proposition to existing customers, linking them more firmly to Flex.
  • Participate in and/or support major contract negotiations.
  • Be responsible to drive, collaborate and steer business development activities to win replacement and growth business.
  • Provide business proposal support and inputs for existing and new business.
  • Monitor and support the program team to ensure an effective use of and participation in Quarterly Business Review process.
  • Implement appropriate HR strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

  • Bachelor’s degree related
  • Strong Business acumen and a complete understanding of the JDM, EMS Business model and Challenges
  • Comprehensive understanding of Complex SMT & System Manufacturing Operations for CEC types of products (Switches/ Routers, Radios, Servers/ Storage, Rack integration and Etc.): Test/ Process/ Quality Engineering, Supply Chain, Operation, Etc.
  • Hands-on Experience and strong knowledge on Engineering (Process, Product and Test Engineering for complex Computed, Rack Integration, accelerator or GPU products.
  •  Solid Experience in NPI, Mass Production, New Business start-ups and Global Transfers – Proven experience in successfully managing complex Project Start-ups and Transfer of new business into various global sites
  • Experience working with a supply chain solutions company to successfully define, design, build, and launch products.
  • Strong program management skills and demonstrable experience in successfully managing product activities across an organization engaging sales, marketing, engineering, delivery, and manufacturing to deliver their contributions.
  • Have comprehensive knowledge and understanding of all aspects of Flex Product Life Cycle process from Proto to Mass Production with very good exposure in DFX, NPIs, Ramps
  • Regional Global Exposure – North America, Asia, Europe and etc.
  • Have a clear understanding of Global Best practices – Engineering, Operations and JDM development.
  • Good working knowledge and experience on Lean/Six Sigma – added advantage
  • Strong knowledge and proficiency in Problem solving processes and techniques
  • Ability to interpret financial statements and understand the Business KOI’s and their drivers
  • Ability to interface and communicate with different levels of the organization - Strong communication skills (verbally, listening and writing) & Excellent interpersonal skills (E.g. Coaching, Motivating, Conflict management)
  • Passionate Customer Service and Focus.
  • Demonstrated experience in Automation solutions and implementations to drive better Quality/ Efficiency & lower cost
  • Very Good understanding of Process/ Test for CPO, Network switches
  • Competent in contract negotiation and service level agreement development
