What You’ll Do:

The Global Payroll team at CoreWeave ensures accurate, timely, and compliant payroll operations across all regions where we operate. This team plays a critical role in supporting employee compensation, managing payroll accounting, and aligning closely with Finance, HR, Legal, and Equity teams to deliver a world-class payroll experience in a rapidly scaling global organization.

About the Role:

CoreWeave is seeking a strategic and experienced Global Payroll Director to lead our global payroll function. In this role, you’ll be responsible for end-to-end payroll operations across multiple international regions, with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and scalability. You’ll oversee payroll accounting and equity payroll, manage vendor relationships, lead a high-performing team, and partner cross-functionally to support company-wide growth initiatives, including international expansion and M&A integration.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and manage global payroll operations across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC.

  • Oversee payroll accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing cycles: regular, off-cycle, bonus, and termination payments.

  • Ensure accurate processing and taxation of equity compensation (RSUs, ISOs, NSOs, ESPP).

  • Partner with internal teams including Finance, HR, Legal, and Equity Admin for alignment on payroll-related activities.

  • Drive payroll integrations for M&A and international expansion.

  • Maintain and enhance internal payroll controls and ensure SOX compliance.

  • Continuously improve payroll systems, tools, and processes.

  • Manage relationships with global payroll vendors and ensure SLA adherence.

  • Hire, lead, and develop a global team of payroll professionals.

Who You Are:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field.

  • 10+ years of progressive payroll experience, including 5+ years in a global leadership role.

  • Deep knowledge of global payroll operations and compliance across multiple countries.

  • Expertise in payroll accounting and taxation of equity compensation.

  • Experience managing payroll systems such as ADP, Workday, Oracle Cloud HCM, or Rippling.

  • Familiarity with SOX controls, internal audits, and financial reporting processes.

  • Demonstrated success leading payroll transformation and system/vendor transitions.

  • Strong analytical and project management skills.

  • Proven ability to manage operations across time zones and global teams.

Preferred:
  • Experience leading payroll in a publicly traded or pre-IPO company.

  • Background in supporting rapid company growth and scaling payroll processes globally.

The base pay and target total cash for this position range from $165,000 to $242,000 and $206,000 to $303,000, accordingly. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position includes a discretionary bonus, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Our Workplace

While we prioritize a hybrid work environment, remote work may be considered for candidates located more than 30 miles from an office, based on role requirements for specialized skill sets. New hires will be invited to attend onboarding at one of our hubs within their first month. Teams also gather quarterly to support collaboration
