Job Description

We are building a high-impact Lean team to accelerate enterprise-wide transformation and strengthen business performance globally. As Director, Global Lean Execution, you will lead the implementation of Lean management systems and improvement strategies that enable operational excellence, accelerate strategy execution, and drive sustainable results across the organization.

Partnering with leaders across regions and functions, you will facilitate complex transformation efforts, coach teams through business challenges, and help embed disciplined problem solving, daily management, and continuous improvement into the way work gets done. Your success will be measured by your ability to deliver tangible business outcomes, develop Lean leadership capability, and create lasting change that improves organizational performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Lean Capability

  • Partner with executive and business leaders and to address critical operational and performance challenges.
  • Coach and mentor leaders and teams in core Lean concepts (e.g. PDCA, A3 thinking, tiered daily management) to build problem-solving muscle and drive cultural transformation.
  • Integrate Lean capability building into strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Analyze operational performance, identify improvement opportunities, and prioritize actions based on business impact.
  • Improve process flow, reduce lead times, and eliminate non-value-added activities across end-to-end value stream

Leadership & Problem Solving

  • Be a visible champion of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Lead by example to create a proactive, hands-on culture of Lean execution.
  • Conduct on-site observations and engage directly with frontline teams to understand processes and uncover performance gaps.
  • Facilitate structured problem-solving efforts to identify root causes and implement sustainable countermeasures.
  • Establish clear ownership, milestones, and follow-up routines to ensure effective execution of improvement plans.
  • Plan and lead kaizen events, workshops, and rapid improvement activities to accelerate results.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and validate that improvements deliver the intended business results.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in operations management with a focus on lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or operational excellence, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Extensive knowledge of lean principles and continuous improvement tools.
  • Strong strategic thinking and project management skills, with an ability to translate vision into actionable initiatives.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience translating lean concepts to business process, digital, and commercial work content is desirable, but not expected.
  • Experience in a manufacturing, supply chain, or industrial operations environment preferred.
