The Director of Program Management, Global Events will lead the program management function within Kaseya's Global Events organization. This role owns how Kaseya's global event portfolio is planned, governed, resourced, and measured, turning strategy into an integrated, predictable, and scalable operating model across every region and event type. 

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Global Events, this leader will oversee the end-to-end program management of Kaseya's flagship conferences, regional events, executive experiences, customer and partner programs, sales kickoffs. The role leads a team of event program managers, sets the standards and tools they use, and connects Events with Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Product, Finance, and Leadership, ensuring every program is delivered on time, on budget, and with measurable business impact. 

Key Responsibilities 

Portfolio Strategy & Planning 

  • Partner with the VP of Global Events to translate the global event strategy into an integrated annual and multi-year portfolio plan. 
  • Own the global events calendar, balancing business priorities, regional needs, budget, and team capacity. 
  • Lead event intake, business case review, and prioritization, ensuring every investment is tied to clear objectives such as pipeline, customer retention, and brand. 
  • Run portfolio planning and business reviews with senior stakeholders, recommending where to invest, scale, consolidate, or retire programs. 

Program Governance & Operating Model 

  • Build and lead the Events Program Management team, defining the frameworks, phase gates, and decision rights used to deliver every event. 
  • Create standardized playbooks, templates, timelines, RACI models, and run-of-show standards that scale across event types and regions. 
  • Establish a consistent planning cadence, including status reporting, risk reviews, and executive checkpoints, that gives leadership clear visibility across the portfolio. 
  • Drive continuous improvement through post-event retrospectives, lessons learned, and process optimization. 

Cross-Functional Program Leadership 

  • Lead complex, multi-workstream programs such as flagship conferences and global sales kickoffs, coordinating content, registration, marketing, sales, production, logistics, and executive involvement. 
  • Align stakeholders across Marketing, Sales, Product Marketing, Product, Finance, Legal, and regional teams on scope, timelines, and success criteria. 
  • Manage dependencies, critical paths, and scope changes across concurrent programs, escalating and resolving issues quickly. 
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders, providing clear recommendations and tradeoffs. 

Budget, Resource & Vendor Management 

  • Own consolidated financial management for the global events portfolio, including multimillion-dollar budgeting, multi-currency forecasting, and variance reporting. 
  • Lead resource and capacity planning across the program management team, agencies, and freelance partners. 
  • Drive global sourcing strategy and lead negotiations with venues, agencies, production partners, and suppliers, using portfolio scale to improve value. 
  • Establish vendor performance standards, service levels, and scorecards to ensure exceptional delivery. 

Systems, Data & Reporting 

  • Own the events technology and tooling roadmap, including project management, registration, event platforms, and their integration with CRM and marketing automation. 
  • Define and track portfolio KPIs includes budget adherence, attendee satisfaction, pipeline contribution, revenue influence, and event ROI. 
  • Deliver executive dashboards and portfolio reporting with actionable recommendations. 
  • Use data and insights to improve planning accuracy, operational efficiency, and business outcomes. 

Team Leadership & Development 

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing global team of event program managers. 
  • Define roles, career paths, and competency standards for event program management. 
  • Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, collaboration, and operational discipline. 
  • Develop talent through coaching, mentorship, succession planning, and professional development. 

Required Qualifications 

  • 10+ years of experience in event program management, event operations, or a related program management role, including 5+ years leading teams. 
  • 10+ Proven success managing a global portfolio of large-scale conferences, customer and partner events, executive programs, sales kickoffs, and trade shows across multiple regions. 
  • 10+ Demonstrated experience building or leading a PMO, or establishing program governance, standardized processes, and scalable operating models. 
  • 5+ Experience owning multimillion-dollar budgets, multi-currency forecasting, contract negotiations, and vendor partnerships.  

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or a related field. 
  • Experience within technology, cybersecurity, IT services, or high-growth organizations. 
  • Advanced proficiency with project and portfolio management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Asana, Monday.com, Jira), event management platforms (e.g., Cvent), and CRM and marketing automation systems (e.g., Salesforce, Marketo, HubSpot). 
  • Strong knowledge of international event logistics, risk management, and compliance requirements. 
  • Exceptional program management skills, including planning, prioritization, dependency management, and risk mitigation across concurrent programs. 
  • Strong executive presence and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, often without direct authority. 
  • Experience leading distributed teams in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments. 
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required
