Summary

Strider is seeking an experienced Director of Global Communications to lead and scale our corporate communications function. This role will shape how Strider tells its story to clients, partners, media, team members, and the broader market—strengthening our reputation, advancing our position in the strategic intelligence category, and supporting the company’s continued growth.

Reporting to the Head of Global Marketing & Communications, the Director will serve as a trusted communications partner to the CEO and senior leadership team. You will translate Strider’s strategy, technology, intelligence capabilities, and perspective on the evolving geopolitical landscape into compelling narratives that support business and commercial priorities.

You will lead communications across our primary markets in the United States, United Kingdom, and EMEA, while supporting growing opportunities in Japan and Australia. This is an opportunity to shape the next stage of Strider’s communications function, develop a growing team, and build the frameworks that enable strong, consistent execution across global markets.

Key QualificationsMinimum Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, executive communications, or a related field, including experience leading communications programs for a growing organization.

  • Experience developing corporate narratives and translating complex business, technology, security, intelligence, or industry topics into clear and compelling communications for varied audiences.

  • Exceptional writing and editorial skills across executive communications, media materials, presentations, thought leadership, and long-form content.

  • Demonstrated media relations experience, including proactive media engagement, spokesperson preparation, and communications for sensitive or high-profile issues.

  • Experience advising executives and senior leaders on communications strategy, messaging, thought leadership, and external positioning.

  • Experience building communications processes, frameworks, and measurement practices that enable effective execution across teams and markets.

  • Experience connecting communications strategy and priorities to broader business and commercial objectives.

  • Experience leading and developing communications teams and managing agencies or other external partners.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in national security, geopolitical risk, strategic intelligence, cybersecurity, defense, technology, or another complex or highly regulated industry.

  • Experience leading communications across multiple global markets, particularly the United States, United Kingdom, and EMEA.

  • Experience building or scaling a corporate communications function.

  • Experience developing or overseeing analyst relations programs.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

DescriptionCorporate Communications & Reputation
  • Develop and execute Strider’s global corporate communications strategy in alignment with company priorities, commercial objectives, and brand positioning.

  • Own and evolve Strider’s corporate narrative, messaging architecture, and key messages across audiences and markets.

  • Lead communications for major company moments, including announcements, partnerships, milestones, organizational changes, and market expansion.

  • Partner across Marketing, Sales, Intelligence, Product, People Operations, and other teams to maintain a clear and cohesive Strider story.

  • Anticipate emerging issues and reputational considerations and lead communications planning for sensitive or crisis situations.

  • Establish processes, measurement practices, and operating rhythms that strengthen the communications function as Strider grows.

Executive Communications, Thought Leadership & Content
  • Serve as a strategic communications advisor to the CEO and senior leadership team.

  • Develop executive messaging, presentations, speeches, bylined articles, social content, and preparation materials for media and speaking engagements.

  • Build thought leadership programs that strengthen Strider’s position on strategic intelligence, technology, security, geopolitical risk, and related issues.

  • Partner with Strider’s Intelligence team to turn original research and differentiated expertise into signature reports and compelling thought leadership.

  • Lead the editorial strategy and content direction for the Strider blog.

  • Support Strider-hosted events through agenda development, executive messaging, and speaker preparation.

Media & Analyst Relations
  • Lead Strider’s media strategy and build relationships with relevant journalists and industry influencers in partnership with our external PR agency.

  • Serve as a company spokesperson and oversee media inquiries, press releases, statements, briefing materials, and other external communications.

  • Develop proactive media strategies that increase awareness and understanding of Strider’s capabilities, leadership, market perspective, and business momentum.

  • Develop Strider’s analyst relations strategy and oversee the program as it grows, building relationships with relevant analysts and research firms.

Global Communications & Team Leadership
  • Lead and develop Strider’s communications team, expanding the team’s capabilities and ownership as the function grows.

  • Create communications frameworks, guidance, and tools that enable regional teams to execute effectively while maintaining a consistent global narrative.

  • Manage Strider’s external PR agency and other communications partners, establishing clear priorities, expectations, and measures of success.

  • Partner with regional teams to adapt communications for audiences in the United States, United Kingdom, and EMEA while supporting growth in Japan and Australia.

  • Partner with People Operations on internal communications, with a focus on executive messaging, company strategy, major announcements, and organizational change.
