About the role

Transforming insurance on a global scale requires creativity, empathy, dedicated work, and flawless execution. As we expand our market presence beyond Canada, we are seeking a Global Brand Director who will shape Intact’s global footprint for years to come.

This role calls for a visionary leader who can craft and execute a long-term brand growth strategy while inspiring and influencing diverse local teams. The ideal candidate will combine strategic acumen with cultural intelligence, ensuring our brand resonates authentically in each market while maintaining a cohesive global identity. This leader will possess a proven track record of driving brand transformation across several markets, effectively balancing innovation with brand consistency.

Are you ready to define the global future of our brand and reach new summits?

What you'll do here:

  • Define and manage a comprehensive global brand strategy, designing, implementing, and overseeing brand architecture, naming convention, visual identity, and channel governance. Influence senior leadership and local stakeholders to secure buy-in and facilitate global execution of the brand strategy.

  • Establish governance models and processes that ensure consistent application of the brand across all global touchpoints, including country-specific product lines, key audiences, and marketing & communication channels.

  • Oversee the creation and deployment of global brand strategy playbooks and frameworks, such as brand guidelines, training programs, and measurement tools to enable consistent and scalable brand expression, in collaboration with internal and external partners.

  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team of marketing experts. Mentor and inspire team members, fostering their leadership skills and expertise, and champion marketing projects and best practices. Advocate for diversity and inclusion in the workplace and cultivate close relationships with team members to help them succeed in their roles and reach their professional goals.

  • Collaborate effectively with local marketing teams, distribution, legal, and other business units to define and position the Intact brand as a strategic driver of our success worldwide. Forge authentic and lasting relationships with peers, internal partners, and executives across the organization.

  • Develop and communicate the global brand roadmap to enhance brand performance, working collaboratively with local teams. Anticipate business challenges, dependencies, and stakeholder needs, proactively recommending solutions and improvements. Communicate and influence across all levels of the organization.

  • Lead global brand research and measurement to track market dynamics and audience behaviors, ensuring plans are timely and impactful. Use competitive benchmarking to guide strategy, and establish metrics to evaluate and enhance brand leadership.

  • Lead/coordinate branding cross-functional initiatives such as rebrands and product launches.

What you bring to the table:

  • 10+ years in marketing including 5 years leading a global brand strategy and working with multiple countries.

  • At least 5 years of experience managing professionals, including managers.

  • Strong background in brand transformation, expansion, mergers or related marketing senior leadership roles—ideally combining agency and organization experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.

  • Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills, including ability to influence many teams, partners, markets and executive stakeholders across time zones.

  • Deep proficiency in brand architecture and brand governance.

  • Communication: Exceptional storytelling, governance articulation, and ability to create compelling brand toolkits and brand playbooks.

  • Bilingualism (French / English) – Need to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country.

  • No Canadian work experience required, but must have authorization to work in Canada.
